Thanks Star, not sure where it came from but I think you definitely have to be in the right frame of mind to join something like Slimming World. And I think September was mine.

    Morning all,

I thoroughly enjoyed that Thai takeaway last night but I am back on the wagon again now. I need to get to the shops over the weekend and buy fruit as we seem to plough through it in this house.

Had an admin morning this morning. Still have ties to the UK as have a credit card and overdrafts over there (don't include the overdraft in my debt sig, not sure why) and I really want to get things in order. So I was logging into my accounts and changing addresses etc. I feel much more on top of things also which is good for the mental health. Also managed to get my car insurance for 100 less than my current insurers were quoting me. So although I had no 'me time' it was very productive.

So was having a long think last night and have decided to give myself some mini goals before Christmas. I am going to up the savings a bit as it will take us too long to achieve our goals otherwise.

So by Christmas I'd like to have saved €31,000 for our house deposit and would like €400/1000 for the emergency savings. My wages are going up slightly but we also have the car insurance to pay every month €77. I'll have to do a re-jig of finances but I'm sure it can be done. If we do that then we are on track to have €38,000 saved by next June. That's the bottom end of the money we would need for the town we want to move to, and we would still need legal fees etc but it would put us in a very good position financially.

Not feeling the Slimming World Love this week. I have stuck to the plan but I can't seem to shift the weight at all. Still another 2 full days before weigh in so I'm hoping to lose at least 1lb but not looking likely at present.

Money wise nothing really to report. We are just ticking along really.

Always a good plan to set mini goals in my opinion. For me, it keeps me on track.

They sound like good goals too. Achievable but still a challenge. You are doing fantastically this year. Well done x

Thanks Star. Am feeling a bit more in control of my finances after having that admin morning the last day.

Afternoon all. My weigh in tomorrow. I am not feeling confident at all. Definitely no Thai for me tomorrow night. Lol!

Have made a good start on my Christmas presents. Just got my in-laws and my nephews on OH's side sorted. We are going there for the long weekend in October so will wrap them all and bring them with us to save on postage. Few swirly Martin's for me because I saved money on each present by using a code or by using a voucher from a survey. Oh now the swirlies won't work for me on this laptop!
