Another £13 off the credit card today. I still have to pay my minimum payment off the Virgin card this month so that will leave £43 to get me under 11k. I'm confident I can find that money and be under 11k by the end of March.

We are going to a family fun day today. The kids can't wait. OH is working tomorrow. If the weather is nice I'll take the kids to the beach. I don't think the forecast is good though.

Woo hoo! Under 11k will be great :) We are good thanks :) Baby Robin is 9 months old now and climbing up onto any thing that will hold him! It's such a fun age we are really enjoying him and all those big smiles. Relocation plans are ticking along - visas next week we hope and then a few more things can get actioned. We are tired of the city and looking forward hopefully to something that's a bit more restorative.

Hope you guys manage the beach!

It's a great age Lara. You sound really busy at the moment but you must be so excited as well!

I am delighted. I am just under 11k! Next goal is under 10k but am doubtful that this will be achieved by the end of April as OH's overtime is going to dry up from this week on I think. Being under 10k would be a real boost though, so I will do my very best to get to there as soon as I can.

I am going through a really busy period with work at the moment so all house hunting has been put to the side for the time being as I have to gather a load of information together for a mortgage application and I just don't have the time!

Have been flat out in work the last week and went to my parents for dinner last night. Myself and my sister got the shock of our lives when my brother and nephew walked in the door. They are home from Australia on holiday for 2 weeks. It's a shame my niece and sister in law couldn't come but we are so thrilled to see them. What a way to kick off Easter!

My parents are bringing us all way for 2 nights for Easter and the evening meal is paid for one of the nights. The eating out budget is looking quite healthy so should cover the rest of the weekend. There will be a bit more expenditure with my brother being here but am still hoping to come in on budget this month. Looks like OH's overtime has dried up so there won't be too much to overpay this month :(

Wow it's been a busy 2 weeks both in work and in my personal life.

My brother went back to Oz yesterday and I also came down with a stinking head cold. It was all go go go when they were here. There was one family occasion after the other. My parents brought us away for the weekend and it was lovely. Even though they paid it was still expensive because we were doing a lot more things because my brother was here.

OH's payday is next Friday and we are so so broke until then, as we had a lot of unplanned expenses. And I thought April was going to be relatively quiet. There is always something!

From this month onwards I am definitely saving €100 a month into an anti-anxiety fund. At this time of the month every month I am always anxious that an unexpected overdraft will go out and land us in the red and I want to have a cushion of money. DD is complaining of a sore ear tonight and I am praying it doesn't develop into anything as we don't have the €60 to take her to the out of hours doctor. If she does I'll have to ask my parents for a loan, which I hate doing :(
