Any news on the house front? Hope the EA get their finger out for you. Have you seen your niece now?
Hi Star! House report was done today and photos are being taken tomorrow so fingers crossed it goes on the market this week.
I have seen my niece several times now. She is gorgeous, so pretty and such a good little baby. I am besottedTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Finally the house report has been completed so looks like the flat will go on the market next week. The upfront fees are about 1k so will put that on a credit card but hopefully this will be a temporary thing. Lots of expenses this month but looks like we will get to payday with about 600 euro surplus. First time in years. I am not going to pay it all off the credit card. Instead I am going to leave it in the bank account as my wages can be slow to come in and that leaves me stressed most months. It will be nice to have a surplus floating around.
Still not making major headway on my sig but I am happy where we are and we will start making inroads soon.
Also booked to go over to Scotland with OH the end of May to clear out all our stuff. Got him a ticket for this for this birthday:

Himself and a friend will go to that and myself and another friend will go for dinner and meet up with them afterwards. The flights were pretty cheap too and we do have to go over and sort stuff out.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Woohoo! Good news about the flat. Hope you get a quick sale.
I've seen that 2.8 hours later thing advertised. I'm sure he'll have a really good time.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
Debt sig is at a standstill but deposit sig has gone up!
I know it might seem strange that we are saving when we have debt but in Ireland you need to be able to show that you have saved for at least 6 months before you will be considered for a mortgage. If/when we sell the flat I am hoping to pay off the BOI credit card so that will be a huge chunk gone.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Morning CMD. Funny how things are different in Ireland even though you are so close to us.
I know it sounds silly to be saving when you have debt but I think in this situation you are doing the right thing.
Hope things are well with you?Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Lol Starnac, Ireland is a funny old place!
Things are grand, we are just getting over a long bout of illness in our house. Evie has had 2 ear infections, I had tonsillitis and Max was vomiting. I generally feel rundown now so think I need to buy a tonic.

Preferable the kind that goes with gin
Hope you are all back to good health soon. We all have sore throats and coughs, which are keeping the kids up at night. Meaning. We don't get much sleep either so both DH and I are shattered.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Ha ha.
Everyone I know seems to be sick at the moment. I think it is the weather. I hope your house gets better soon too Star. It can't be fun not having much sleep. Evie was in to us last night at 1.45am. Being kicked in the back is no fun at all!
Flat on the market. The home report valued it at 10-15k less than the Estate Agent said it was worth. Even still, if we get the asking price we will have our deposit so will be happy with that!
I have decided to cut back on our food spends as we spend a horrendous amount of money every week. So last night I did a proper meal plan and ordered a shop online to stop me being tempted to buy anything unnecessary. I only spent €50 and that includes all our meals until Sunday. I will just need to buy top up bread and milk but if I can sustain spending about €100 per week on groceries we will have a lot more disposable income.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

March and April are such expensive months for me.
In March it is Max's birthday, 2 nieces birthdays, Patrick's Day, Mothers Day and we had 2 confirmations (€20 per child). The April it is OH's birthday, my nephew, a friends birthday, my Granny's 80th and Easter (we have to buy about 10 eggs). Plus 2 people have had babies and 2 people have gotten engaged. Phew. The expenses just keep on coming. I did pre-buy a lot of presents for children in the January sales but some things I can't pre-buy in the sales (flowers for Mothers Day, Easter eggs etc).
There have been 3 viewings for the flat but no offers yet. It is only on the market a week, so I'm not getting nervous yet but at the same time it would nice to have some feedback.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
