Sounds like your OH is being more selfish to me. He is thinking of what he likes rather than what would be better for your family.
That is good news you are getting viewings and an offer on the flat.0 -
Thanks Star and Wendz,
I just want a good life for my kids, with good friends, nice holidays and a stress and debt free Mammy and Daddy. I grew up in a small estate and have extremely close friends as a result. OH grew up in the countryside and hated it, admits he was lonely, but still wants the kids to be living in an isolated house.
He can't get it into his head that we can have the townhouse once the finish school!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

That's a fantastic result on the flat, really pleased for you.
Sounds like you've got a sulky DH too, what is it with men that can't see the bigger picture and act like children when they don't get their own way.DEBTS ARE BEING DEALT WITH AS BEST WE CAN:heart: Married my prince on 27/08/2011Baby Girl born 21/10/14:D:D:D:D

Oh brilliant news CMD, congrats! :j :j
I hope things calm down with your OH soon. FWIW we have always been sensible and not overstretched ourselves financially. We've never regretted waiting for things or taking the more conservative route because it's also enabled us to be more flexible and more relaxed with other choices. For example OH has been able to take an epic 6 week paternity leave which has been so nice:A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
Hi all,
I've been MIA for a long time! Need to post on here more often.
Well the flat sold and the money is in the bank so that's a positive. On a more negative note my Dad had a stroke last week. We are all still in shock as he is very young (61) and very fit. Thankfully there has been no lasting damage and he has been discharged from hospital but we got an awful fright
Moneywise - September has been a really expensive month for us with loads going on including Evie turning 3! I have the majority of their Xmas presents gotten and quite a few of other presents too.
We should be in the position to start looking for houses end of November. Prices are rising very fast and we have already been priced out of our first preference so have to hope it slows down a bit.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

:hello: yay on the flat selling although boo to house prices rising so quickly
I hope your dad is okay? My step dad had one a couple of years back in his early 50's. There was no lasting issues thankfully but he does get tired easier these days. I hope your dad makes a full recovery.
Happy birthday Evie! The big 3! Wow she's grown up loads. Where has the time gone?Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Thanks Star. My Dad is doing very well but is very very tired. He is just grateful to be alive because he thought that was it. He must have been so frightened.
I know - I can't believe my baby is 3. She is going to playschool 2 mornings a week and loves it. She is so independent!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947
