Thanks Star. I made €55 in the end so am happy with that. Just back from bringing the kids to the playground for the afternoon. They had a ball!
Soft play tomorrow but we have loyalty stamps so will only have to pay for one of them in!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Had a lovely day today at soft play with the kids.
Need to ring the estate agents tomorrow and see if the valuation has been done yet. Was looking at family holidays earlier on. I won't be swayed but I would love a bit of sun at the moment. The weather is so dreary.
Am having some family problems at the moment (not with my OH but close family). I don't really want to discuss it on an open forum but have been really down about itTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Sending big hugs your way. It is sooo dreary ATM, but I've read reports we're on for a fantastic summer! I hope they are true xxx

Got the valuation for the flat and it was much better than I thought. I thought we would be doing lucky to walk away with 30,000 euro after fees etc but it looks like the market has turned and we might be getting between 40-50,000 euro. That would be a fab deposit on a house. It would be more than what we need and means we would have money left over to furnish and potentially get a new kitchen or bathroom if it was required.
I also booked us on a mini break. We haven't been away as a family on our own ever so we are booked into a hotel down the country for 2 nights. It gets great write ups on Tripadvisor, is good value and there is a kiddies club from age 2-4yrs so we can have a civilised dinner whilst the kids are entertained!
OH has also applied for his drivers licence so he is hoping he will pass it and he can drive us there. If not, we can get public transport, but it would be lovely to be driven there.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Yay to the valuation. So glad you got what you wanted (and more). That's a fantastic deposit.

How many weeks are you now Lara?
The flat survey is being done next Monday and the estate agent will take photos so I presume it will be on the market sometime next week or the week afterTotal (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Aww wow, I'm crossing my fingers that it will sell for you in no time at all. The market has certainly picked up down here, our next door got an asking price offer even before any viewings! My sister also had similar luck with her place in Cornwall. I'm sure you're really keen to be looking for houses yourselves.
I'm 23 weeks nowThings seem to be going well - lots of little kicks ATM, they are so amazing.
