Breaking it down into smaller chunks makes it seem a lot more manageable IMO.
Good luck with your driving lessons (both of you) and with saving so much a month.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -

Thanks Starnac!
It does make it seem more manageable. I just can't wait to get going and add more money to the deposit and subtract from the debts Unfortunately my cc is more than I thought so I won't see any real difference to my sig on here until end of March but I'll know it's going down which is the main thing.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Minimum amount has just come off my Virgin card. Dying to get under 13k. Not going to happen for a few months though. I need to be patient. I am getting the flat valued next week. We were quoted £1049 to paint it. It's a very fair quote but I want to see what it is valued at before painting. No point in spending that money if we can achieve a similar price. As one of my friends said, that money is the price of a family holiday. So when you put it like that!!!Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Tbh I wouldn't decorate until you've got a valuation. Like you said it might not make any difference. Good luck with the valuationGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000

Having a really lovely weekend but quite spendy too, we needed it though.
Yesterday Max did a taster session of Rugbytots. He had been going to gymnastics and I thought it was a bit competitive for his young age. The Rugbytots was much more fun so will be enrolling him in that. At least the taster was free! After that we all went to a beautiful cafe and had brunch. Their bacon is amazing, it is stuffed with cloves! Then we went to a friends house so brought them some cakes.
Today we went to the local castle and playground and then tea/coffee and cakes afterwards. I am going to the the cinema with Max in the afternoon and then a takeaway as a treat later. This is not normal for us though, and we will be reigning it in!
Can't wait for the valuation to be done. Realistically when we move to the other town we will probably have to take a year lease so it looks like we will buy in 2015 but I am hopeful we can start looking around Sept (houses take ages to go through in Ireland). By the time we buy we should have a very healthy deposit and very little debt.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

I'm surprised that gymnastics is competitive!
Sounds like you have a good plan going on. I know you'll do it. Gives you a good focus too as 2015 isn't that far away really.Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2000 -
So was I Star, given that the kiddies are so young!
I totally logged out all weekend and when I stepped on the scales was 5lbs lighter than last week. Weird! At least I am nearer 9 stone than 10 now.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Sorting out some toddler clothes to sell this morning on a local selling page. Gave made about €35 so far. Not bad for about 20 mins work! This will be paid off a credit card.
Have told OH we will be really tightening our belts from his next payday onwards. We need to get serious about paying off debts and saving.Total (Aug 19):€58,567 Now:€26,947

Well done on your weight loss. Wish I could say the same thing but I can't seem to shift anything
