Yorkshire Building Society - Local Saver

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if this is still paying 4% please? I opened an account in Canterbury in June (branch knew nothing about it and it took them ages to find it - they didn't believe me at first!) with a few hundred pounds. I would like to invest more but don't want to do this if rate has gone down.

Can't find any info on their website.

Yes it is - the rate is fixed for one year and you can add up to £6000 whenever you like.

Received the notification letter that this is coming to an end as of 30 June and asking what I wanted to do with the money. Rather confusingly they refer to it as a Fixed Rate Bond, not a local saver, and as I've also got a Yorkshire BS Fixed Rate Bond that runs out at the end of July it had me scratching my head.

If you want anything other than the default option you also need to return your passbook with the form. I'm not incredibly happy about posting this so will be popping into the branch and handing it over the counter.

Yeah, my letter (which I received yesterday) calls it a fixed rate bond. I won't be posting my letter just yet, as I still need to put in a payment in this month. But will be withdrawing the lot anyway.
