Does DTD apply if you are over charged in a Tesco express store?

hi Narla...yes DTD is given (or SHOULD be given!!) on any overcharge in store, whether its an express, metro, superstore or extra. DTD doesnt apply to online purchases though, either from groceries or direct.

Nice DTD last night. Braun series 3 380s mans wet & dry shaver. SEL £74.97 charged £149.97. Refunded by manager very begrudgingly £150.00 after a him trying to refund me & sell it back to me at SEL price!
Has anyone noticed that some stores have changed their big blue panel behind CS desk which displays DTD policy & others to a smaller than A4 size white notice that is ok for us long sited people when having to read out tro the managers their own DTD policy

The Mega Hell that is my local Tesco Extra can not manage to stock the fruit and veg section but they managed to change the label on this to say £8.58. I could have done with some cheap stain remover as well.

I managed to get Hardys Stamp Chardonnay yesterday. The fridge label said £4.49 and the fridge was empty but the same wine was on the shelf at £5.99. The member of staff at customer services got the manager and I was given £1.50 and then when I said what about DTD I was immediately given another 1.50. The yellow label expired on 17/07/12

Thanks to reading this thread, I am now educated about DTD in tesco and yesterday got my first freebie - a bottle of Isla Negra which the SEL showed as £4.99 but scanned through at £10.38. I ended up with a refund of £10.38, result! Thank you to everyone on here for explaining what DTD and SELs are, it took me a while but now I understand I am hooked! My husband thinks I need to get back to work (I am on mat leave) as I becoming obsessed with freebies.

Recently I have received for free 8 bottles of wine, four wine glasses (uswitch offer), a bottle of wine courtesy of Mr Tesco, baby food - MAM and Hipp, saftey ties for window blinds and a packet of Mcvities ginger cake - nothing better than getting something for free:j!
