    Rachie77,

£100 is about right for 5k fliers

You got to ask yourself, is £100 really such a big outlay for the possible return I could get?

the problem with printing is that the smaller runs you do, the more expensive the job is!

For example, I had a client who wanted only 500 fliers printed full colour on both sides. The price was not that much different from having 5k done!!

    Regards

    Pete

I know of one company that will do 100 for £19, http://www.corditeprint.co.uk/

Handy if you'd like to test the water I guess, but you can get 5000 DOUBLE SIDED at https://www.printempire.co.uk from £95 depending on the quality of paper you'd like (5k 135gsm are £95, the same paper quality as the £19 ones that Cordite sell).

Plus, as far as I know, the run of 100 will be done on a digital process which isn't usually quite as good quality as lithograph print processes.

Like Pete says, it's not really economical to have anything printed in really small quantities, due to the print processes involved. Once you are into a quantity of 1000 you'll find that 2000, 5000 arent all that more expensive either.

I have a parent and toddler group. Very small hat compared to the rest of you guys but it has taught me a lot from a business point of view. I'm aiming to now sell it and move on to something bigger.

I think this thread is interesting so I am attempting to keep it alive by posting my business.

I run a website offering live, free and independent help to online shoppers - answering questions such as 'where can I get xyz from?' and I also provide a page where you can catalogue complaints you have with online shopping sites in an attempt to make them act faster.

Only just started this business but hopefully it has some future!

Sorry to sound a bit thick here (not really up on running websites etc), but if it is free independent help, how do you make any money? Tell me to sod off if am being nosey, but just curious!!!
When you were born, you were crying and everyone around was smiling. Live your life so at the end, you're the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying! :rotfl:

To a degree yes, although answers are not guided by affiliate links. The revenue also comes from advertisements on the site.

I work as a Business Analyst/PM but also create software applications for local firms when the demand arises. I also do a little farming (which I'd really love to do full time :o)
