MY Laurel trimmer is coming tomorrow not today (of course) and has admitted it is for what we suspected. Hopefully they will bring a chainsaw as I could quite happily lose the top 15 feet of the 'bushes'!!!

I'm going to save that for next time someone asks what's been going on with the NPT.

    'michaels outed his laurel trimmer'...

It could only happen on here.

Next in the series of things I feel LIR may want in her home.

The pool here has two of these sitting round the edge:

Not only do they look nice but they are very comfy. Love to take one home, but I guess our weather doesn't make them that practical.

I'm curious how michaels and the laurel trimmer found each other. Did michaels advertise for someone to trim his laurel?

Oh I'd love one of those when I get my sleepout. I can move it inside and out as the weather dictates and on a cold day, swing in it while looking through (closed) floor to ceiling concertina doors.

Just noticed all the sss's is around.

Wanted to ask the NP GP fans what they think of Hamilton moving to Mercedes, Perez to McLaren and Schumi looking like he's on the way out.

I really like Perez and think his smooth style complements Button more than Hamilton's karting lines. It's a shame Perez isn't coming over to the red team though.

I think it's nice to see it get mixed up every now and then. Most of the top drivers have been with most of all the top teams over their career.

I'm interested to see who will get the open Ferrari seat. It's been another great F1 season :T

Hamilton is a strange one - despite being an extremely quick driver he has in general underperformed his car - the first season when he missed out no the championship you could put down to youthful over-exuberance and lack of experience but he has definitely had the best car this season...

Laurel trimming lady asked for laurel trimmings on freecycle.
    I think....

I'm hoping this is the cold I had a couple of weeks ago rather than a new one - the kids may be coughing again or alternatively they may still be coughing...

It is very nice that TWH has finally outed himself (as an NP) and joined the thread.

LIR if you don't mind me asking do you think part of your recent problems could have been the fear that it was a replay of your previous problems and that getting reassurance from the consultant on that front is a good part of the reason you are feeling better?

Absolutely. without a doubt I thought this was the summer that I had been caught up with my death tbh.

I also very much did not want to become blind.

But almost as much, I don't want to be what is happening now, a 'patient' where a lot of my life is about seeing people with different specialities who cannot communicate well together, who treat thinks contraindicatory and where, crucially, you life life by your poor health, not by ....everything else. I did that before, it's no fun, and while ignoring doctors is not wise, I have had a happier couple of years either side of tackling things just pretending I can fix things purely with grit and resolve.

It is obviously all related even though a different condition is the big one. I have to say I am slightly bemused they think I might have sleep apnea, I am pretty sure I do not (dh is familiar wi the 'sounds' because his mother had sleep apnea ) but I am happy to d a trial at home.

The thing is, though we have identified that the eyes are another neurological condition, the initial things are all still there....I feel a bit like old horse tbh, that we know I have got something wrong and have stayed one step ahead and have been very lucky...(e.g. They think my initial recovery was good because of being a musician and bilingual had strong neural pathways, and that I was fit, but on the other hand by living life hard perhaps I exacerbated conditions to be ripe for such a thing...who knows. )

Hmm. I am talking myself out of the yes, and both into it more at the same time.
I think in the end, I have had a down turn and a couple of new things crawl out the woodwork, and now the medication for the main one of those is proving successful for me (lots of people reading support groups don't have that luck, but I am having it, hurrah!,) and I am rallying.
I have so far proven indestructable, and I am returning to that pattern...this summer I was reminded though that while I choose to look on it that way, ultimately......it's not true, and I am destructible and vulnerable and that there are always new ways for health to hold one hostage. A damaged system is less stable, IMO, so it's not surprising other things are going wrong.

No consultants have actually reassured me, in fact, I have felt cross and frustrated by a lot of it. But some of it is interesting and certainly worth looking at.

So, both yea and know. * The worst limit is always fear, no matter how bad the health problem I think. But, easier to say that on a day where I have felt ok.

    Hmm, garbled or what?:D

*. Just noticed this typo, out of what I am certain are many. I had auto correct on for a giggle, and everything I was typing was normal...then.....obviously not when not meaning to laugh.

Talking of typos I texted Zagubov this week and apologised for having 'kicked him round' as for some reason predictive text took exception to 'mucked'

More generally I'm glad you had a good day and lets hope it is the first of many and that if you have a reaction tonight or tomorrow that it is just as a result of having done more today and you recognise it as such.
    I think....

My predictive text on my my phone likes to put abductions when I am trying to put and.

Not much to report here as it was a quiet end to the week, mainly because youngest got that horrible cold that others have reported on here and was off school!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.
