  • Looks like a plan. I am currently managing to not smoke for 12 hours/day.... and this is now easier than it was as I don't panic about getting "the last fag of the night" in so late as I know I can make it through the night .. and in the mornings, I'm happy to have a lie in of an hour or so, rather than rushing out at first light :)

Woke up this morning at 7:30 and thought "ooh, it's dark ...." but got up anyway and brushed my teeth/washed ... and got back into bed for a 20 minute lie down..... but it wasn't getting any lighter. Then I realised it was 1:45 and not 7:45.... and then I couldn't get to sleep again until 5am.

    :)

i was slightly confused by your post as i got the 7.06 to work and it was fully light and i was trying to work out if it was really possible for there to be that much differential between laaaaaaaaaaadaaaaaaaan and the saaf coast, but then i realised i hadn't read your post properly!!

Hope you are ok. Ds enjoying life up there??

Bloody waste of time. Looks like i have to have an operation which is fine. Maybe two, ok. Before that they want to do a sleep study as well, which i think is weird buit if it makes them happy i will do stage one of it, at home, at least. I have a choice for op of london or, weirdly, taunton (apparantly the only other weat country place is brsitol and not as good.???) . I am going to choose london i am almost certain, those consultant is pushing taunton. Taunton is a nightmare for me to get to....i avoided it when i lived ion somerset too so would be strange to opt for it now.

What else. Oh yeah, i have to see another person about a lump i thought was nothing, (probably still is nothing) and an ENT person too. Good news is the sweeling in one eye is definietly better.

    Phew.

I called my mother, because some of what he was saying about my family history with hypothyroidism sounded odd, and she agrees its not what her consultant told her (though her health is simer, hypothyroidism is ....wll, hypothyroidism?.) so i think she wants me to see her chap too. I am thionking about it all.

Oh, LIR, poor you, especially as you hate doctors. And what a lot to think about! I wish you all the best. :)

DS is enjoying himself. He's coming home tonight for a whistle-stop tour, so I'll hear more.

DW was in hospital for a day for an investigation, but it all turned out to be nothing. Just an 'artifact' on an ultrasound scan.

Everything else is fine, except that DW wants me to build a succah, but it barely stops raining. I cut some leaves for the thatch already. More for you to google, so here's a linky http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sukkah :)

Maybe there's a niche market in platic, fold-away versions... complete with fake leaves/thatch for the top.

So I googled.... already loads :)

    http://www.popupsukkah.com/products.php

Let's face it ... those ones are simply "camping loo tents" aren't they :)

Could probably make a nicer one by putting in some uprights in the garden, then wrapping some of that fencing material round .... that's like bamboo/cane .... then topping it with a huge golfind umbrella, topped with leaves of your choice :)

Edit: Or, use a whirly-gig style washing line as a template for where to put the roll of fencing.... and bung the golf umbrella on top :)

    I'm awesome at supremely cr4p ideas :)

If I had the lead that links my camera to the laptop with me, I could show you some interesting Succahs round here, including ones perched on the top of penthouses.
and the weather is warm enough to eat outside :)

Isn't it a question of retrieving last years and remembering how you put it together, or is an upgrade required?

Suddenly it all makes sense - some on free cycle wants to come and trim my laurel (not a euphemism) for me this weekend and I didn't know why....they have a jewish sounding surname...bingo.
    I think....

The clue was in my mention of an easyjet flight yesterday.
