    Good article.

As PN says though, it is getting past the dreaded application and interview stage that is the problem as square pegs most certainly do not fit into the personality tests they do.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Incredibly windy here overnight and into this morning, Suffolk Show has been cancelled, eldest's place of work is not opening today due to safety and the port is shut.

I'm sitting here watching the telephone wires/power lines bouncing up and down outside....

    Very interesting.

Having just read "How Would You Move Mount Fuji" I suspect that some American IT companies interviews would make hiring more straightforward for aspies.

Wind is howling around the house. Need to take the dog for his walk but wondering if it'll be like flying a kite!

My first response is to enquire what they're actually trying to achieve. It's not always necessary to move a mountain if you're just after the illusion it's been moved.

Asking what people want to achieve gives a different answer to answering their question and experience has shown me that many people don't really want what they're asking for .... they're trying to solve a problem they have and are asking the wrong question.

I would change my name by deed poll to "mount fuji" and then start walking. What do I win?

Hmm - I must be an aspie too in that case...although I do quite like the Douglas Adams solution of just using SEP.

Michaels, i asked a bit back, but either you don't want to answer ( fair enough) or didn't see....how does your wife cope visiting friends with dogs, how scared is she? How do you 'manage' it?

Spent quite a lot of time battening-down various hatches this morning, but so far it's just the usual wild stuff we get here from time to time.

The afternoon was spent in the polytunnel. That has about 4 tonnes of concrete stuck to it, plus 16 X 60cm plates attached to the legs and buried 70cm deep, so I'm confident that's going nowhere. :D

No ripe toms though LJ. :( My first ripe one last year was two days from now.....

    I don't even have flowers yet mate!:D

I believe that everything has survived thus far. I attached a ton of extra rope ties to my greenhouses for safety.:)

I should be able to eat the first non-wind-blown-away lettuce in about a week I hope.

I'm 90% sure I could guess at whether people are M/F, but could get some wrong.

    .

Isn't this the sixth thread? Is there some residual doubt on the longstanding posters that I don't know about?
