Strange really as I don't really like dogs and subconsciously see them as being a bit dirtychewmylegoff wrote: »I don't like touching or being licked by dogs either, I have to keep washing my hands every 5 minutes if I stay with someone who has a dog.
pffffttt...and they are such clean creatures, dogs...0 -

Hahaha, thats so funny. Westy dog is most definitely the coolest westy ever.
Its was asked for the same reason pn was talking bout emails, and i guess we got the answer, lol.
Mine are not very and do not drool, big dog sometimes licks, but her real unpleasant habit is having a big drink just before going over to someone for a scratch...and her beard is all dripping with water. Its unpleasant to me and she is my dog! The other thing mine do is try to sit on laps. Dog dog weighs forty kilos and big dog certainly over eighty.0 -
I proved today that dogs have a really fantastic sense of smell.
As it's very windy, I was certain that the noise of the trees thrashing about would easily cover any noise I made, as I walked through the field towards my distant neighbour's house. Despite this, the dogs, which are caged and out of sight behind a building, began barking when I was still a good 30metres from the boundary and 40 metres away from them.
That's some nose!
........Or maybe I pong a lot! :eek:0 -
On an unrelated subject, we seem to have been seeing less of Lydia recently :jThis NPT6 thread is turning into a very romantic affair.
+ LJ and Nikkster being matched by Jonny
+ chewie and his 'missus'getting ready for the big day...
What's next? PN and Ckhalvashi hitting it off?I think....0 -

He's funny, but as you can see from the pics, he's not looking like the typical westie, his snout is much pointier than is the norm for the breed. He definitely won't be winning any prizes as Crufts.0 -

awww doggies! Very cute. Tthink there are studies on the positive effects of pets on people's moods(not the dirt, slobber or fox sheet they roll in, obvs) so expect LIR and Wheezy to be very positive jolly chaps and chapessesEmergency savings: 4600

I recently found out I was wrong about zagubov so it is not impossible to be wrong/unsure on these matters and of course it took a long time before Lemon came out
(as a guy)
Jelly didn't choose to come out. I outed him after he inadvertently referred to his workmates talking about him and saying that "his" jacket was on the back of his chair. On an unrelated subject, we seem to have been seeing less of Lydia recently :j
I'm still reading, just not making time to post quite so much. Normal service should be resumed in a couple of weeks.
Oh, BTW, for those who were following the story, max-fax bloke agrees that DS's face is fine.
Off to neurologist next week for similar appointment.
PS michaels - why are you jumping for joy that you've seen less of me????Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

I'm a big fan of Prof Richard Wiseman (keeping the Herts theme here). He covered something about this in one of his books, most likely 59 seconds.
This website describes articles describing how dog owners survive better after heart attacks. Not sure cat owners should read it though!chewmylegoff wrote: »t'was a black cab, so i expect it will be handed in to a police station or posted to me eventually (driver's licence is in there) but there's no point waiting around on the off chance that i might get it back!
Actually the same book advises the best way to ensure your wallet gets returned if it's lost. Apparently you just need to stick a photo of a baby in it.There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0
