You can always gift them.;)
We have about 500,000, due to the fact that flights earn miles, business class flights earn even more miles and higher loyalty status flying even more miles. We now also have an Amex card to get more miles and reward tickets. So all OH flying generates loads. In fact we used miles to upgrade recently and the miles we generated by taking the flight replenished the miles we used to upgrade.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Hope things are good with you too Nikkster!:) If you need a nights entertainment, take advantage of the RSC - every time I go, I feel I should go more often...
...and the tourists and the lack of excitement...
No, joking aside it is a lovely place to live. I've certainly lived in much worse!
Yes, really should think about going to the theatre, esp if there are £5 tickets to be had. Its just one of those things that you don't really think about when you live here0 -

As a point of interest i think brits are worse for that than many pthers, we genuinely lack appreciation for what is near us.
Hello lemonjelly dearest, hope you are feeling better0 -

I said exactly that to my mate too!:rotfl:
We never apprecaite what is right in front of us.
I went to London & was amazed by all this magnificent architecture, yet everyone is grumping around the place paying no attention to it. I know people who live by the sea, yet never go to the beach. People in the country yearn for a busy city. City dwellers yearn for the peace & picturesque-ness of the countryside!
For the £5 tickets, sign up to their mailing list. Honestly, £5 for 2-4 hours entertainment, can't be bad! Indeed, I paid £14 to see David Tennant & Patrick Stewart in Hamlet! What. A. Bargain! It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

Nothiong happening at the jouse apart from i keep buying stuff and filling p the room we have emptied for builders......last few weeks i bought an altera butchers block and some antique lights, and two curtain poles.
I am not sure but architect is coming out next week when he will have a look round and make the final decision about builders etc. i am now unbiased as to which builders we use so we have given even more reaponsibility to the architect to choose, because we think that is the important relationship...the opne between the people who get blamed if it all goes horribly wrong...:rotfl:
We are hoping for a functional kitchen and heating by winter, and no more fears about bits on the north end dropping off.0 -

Yes indeedly. We are truly blessed here with what's on offering on the cultural side in the UK. Each and every day I could go out and watch some of the world's best actors in action, go to top music acts from whatever genre I choose, visit art galleries stuffed with world class items....
Back in Belgium it was waiting for months until something worthwile came along.0 -

In my defence, I don't really have anyone here to go with - or to suggest that we go. I am also without an income at the moment so trying not to spend!
I don't think I'm generally too bad at making an effort - when I was in London my preferred was of getting around was by foot (often looking upwards and around), and I would try and explore as much as possible (though when I was living a long way out the distance and tiredness got the better of me). I do walk around here a lot too. I do try to appreciate, just not so much of that has involved the theatre recently.0 -
We heard today our nightmare italian LL gas not paid us our settlement. W. gave him an extension too. Back to court later this month.

From http://www.homeoffice.gov.uk/agencies-public-bodies/ips/passports/
Urgent passports
If you need to renew your passport urgently, IPS offers either a:
fast-track one-week service
premium one-day service
Both these services require an appointment at a Passport Office. In some cases we may need to take extra time to assess your application, including confirming details you have given and contacting your countersignature.
You should call our advice line to make an appointment on 0300 222 0000.0
