Howdy!
Apart from a new thread, & millions of pages/posts, what have I missed.
As expected, I didn't have a great may. Lets hope June improves.
What have I been up to I hear you ask? Well, I went to see Stewart Francis (very funny, lots of 1 liners), Paul Merton (giggles, but nothing laugh out load. pleasant), Dara O'Briain (hilarious - simply the best stand up working at the moment imo), and Michael Winslow (the noises guy from police academy - if any of you get the chance, go see his show. Trust me, it is a treat!
I also went to see Julius Ceasar at the RSC last night (£5 a ticket! Bargain). T'was truly an excellent evenings entertainment.
I'm currently reading a book on Napoleon & Wellington. There are a lot of coincidences about these 2 men, despite them only meeting in 1815...
I'm also hoping that my greenhouse doesn't get blown away again...
How is everyone, & what have you all been up to?It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

We leaned the yard this weekend but....did not clear the gutters first as it was too wet to get ladders or the scaffold tower out, and in todays deluge moss has disgorged out over the yard and diffused across the whole thing.
That rain was very scary whilst tootling along the motorway to the theatre!
I'm glad we set out early to get a bite to eat, as we had the time to slow down, take our time & get there with time to spare - though we had to go without a meal before the play...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Nice to see you again lj. Hope things are getting better for you. Glad you had a good time last night - you were in my neck of the woods0

Not telling.
Hope you're doing okay, jelly.
Stick around for a while, we deserve better than a 3-monthly visit!0 -
The real experts are on flyer talk forum. The "best" use of miles is to buy the cheapest Premium economy ticket and upgrade using miles to business class. That way you get the beds on long haul flights, use of the business lounge at airports, no queues for check-in or security and hopefully arrive refreshed.
I may pop over there, as we still have some serious miles to use (c.120000). This rises by an average of 30000 a month atm 💙💛 💔0 -
Oh goodness, I almost forgot!!!!
I went to Oxford on bank holiday monday. My favourite band from childhood have reformed to play download, & did a warm up show in Oxford!:j & I got to go!:j
I regressed by about 20 years...:o
Anyhow, there is a photo on the bands website of the gig, & I'm in it!

My mate & I were saying it must be a lovely place to live...the canal/waterways, the greenery, the open spaces.
Hope things are good with you too Nikkster!:) If you need a nights entertainment, take advantage of the RSC - every time I go, I feel I should go more often...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0
