obviously i would happily upgrade using avios if i had enough!
We’ve upgraded ours, and paid to upgrade the kids, as its the same Avios and theirs are cheaper
A clever bit of MSE there💙💛 💔0 -

When I was last in Aus we got a deal on World Traveller Plus with one sector in Club from Thailand to Sydney. Which was great because we got enough miles to then score a free flight to the States. Having a husband that works for an airline helps a great deal as he understands ticketing options way better than me.
I'd never fly economy to Australia (well unless a member of my family was ill there and it was the only way I could get there so never say never). World Traveller Plus is a good compromise. To be honest I don't think economy is all that bad, as long as you go on Singapore or Thai air anyway, and make sure you're on an airbus as the seat pitch is bigger. At just over 6ft I am rarely uncomfortable, and can happily sit there and read / watch tv for 24 hours without sleeping.
I also know the one time I paid the extra there would be spoilt brats crawling all over business ruining it!0 -
I think the rule re flying would have to be: Learn to fly, buy your own plane.... never sit with annoying people. You can probably have a fag in your own plane too.....0

I only know of two posters here that mention it.
More of us have had this habit in the past, but we no longer regard it as part of our current superpowers/multi-tasking abilities.
It is a habit more easily started than stopped. (I quit over thirty times before it became final).

I've given up in the past, but then stuff happened and it was 'necessary' for awhile, but then I was hooked again. Planning on giving up once I'm settled.... honest!0
