I'd hate to put everything on Facebook, then have them delete my account, go out of business, or want to levy a big charge.....

Well they've just gone public, so I doubt they will go out of business.....and they've promised never to charge...judging what some people get away with on FB, you'd have to be really, really bad to get your account deleted.

pfffft, i've got 11,000 so far this year. just got to waste £9,000 more and i'll get the free extra flight voucher and be able to get a one way flight to newquay for £200.

You know that's not true. Your 2-4-1 voucher is for any flight, any class, anywhere. So first class to Australia is possible. The only condition is that you have to book the "1" ticket using miles and pay all the taxes.

We've only just got the card, OHs business flights are now all booked on Amex.

Well, you're only allowed one account .... and .. er... well ... *coughs*

I've actually not got a "real me" one, two others is what I've got....

I read somebody on one of the other boards this week had a 2nd account for the competitions she enters - to keep track of them - and she's just found everything deleted.

I'd really like a new account "real me - and these photo sets" for real friends/family only.

It's on at ours. Not because I was tempted, but Mrs. Wheezy is always, always, always cold! A week ago, when we had that warm weather, I was sweating like a pig, but she needed an extra blanket in the evening cos it was 'chilly' :)

Westie is very good with kids, but running squealers are a problem as he immediately goes after them. (yippi! play! noise! fun! woohoo!). Running squealers should be banned from public places. If you wanna run and squeal, do it at home!

We had the heating on yesterday as the weather was so awful, I wanted to look out at it whilst feeling cosy.

Our dog (a flat coated retreiver) is very good with children. The almost 3 year old we had staying over the weekend played with him and they got on just fine. Yesterday though he 'bowled' my husband over and Mr S landed flat on his back. We have had flatties for 25 years and they are so good natured but boisterous. I do feel cautious when we are out as they have minds of ther own ...over they years ours have helped themselves to the picnics of people visiting the woods near home, gate crashed wedding marquees, made chaos of a disciplined walk of 'hearing dogs for the deaf' and destroyed the progress of .group of teens on a Duke of Edinburgh map reading exercise .

The youtube clip of the dog "Fenton" is of a dog ignoring his owner...Fenton is a Flattie.

Avatar-dog (a labrahound) used to wag his tail enthusiastically at toddler shoulder height, and knocked my kids over more than once when they were at that size. Didn't stop them loving him, though. :)

I wish you could have met him, lir. You'd have liked him. I still miss him.
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

I'm being lazy but are these Avios points better than my 1% cashback Cap1 card?

Quick yes/no would be helpful (unless it's a threshold spend thing..)

    I've been Money Tipped!
The rain this evening was something incredible. Very sadly though it has undone a couple of hard days work here. We leaned the yard this weekend but....did not clear the gutters first as it was too wet to get ladders or the scaffold tower out, and in todays deluge moss has disgorged out over the yard and diffused across the whole thing.

You still have to pay taqxes and charges so not that great.

The big saving is if you have a BA Amex card and spend over ?20k? as this will give you a 2-4-1 voucher for any avios purchased flight which effectively doubles the value of the points.

Martin has done a good article on this putting a value on all the different sorts of points.
