Often there's a lady with a german shepherd in the park I go for the morning walk and she doesn't scoop either, she just holds a carrier bag under his bum. No kidding. I always wonder how she can time it so right.PasturesNew wrote: »this morning I saw a couple walking two dogs, each of them had an almost transparent orange bag holding poo ... and I thought "EWWWWW". There's no way I'd EVER look after somebody's dog because I don't poop scoop.... EVER.
I don't mind scooping.
Congrats to misskool. :T
Hope your dad will be allright, viva.
And I've never been to Slip End, but I've driven through Harpenden one day. I think it was just for a drive because I was bored and lived nearby.0 -
I am always jealous of peoe with little dogs when it comes to poop scooping. No chance of a tiny transparent orange bag here.

At home i use a long handled horse poopascooper.
Where to put the poop is a constant debate. My mother used to take huge plastic sacks of it to the tip and was really cross when i would not. I used to think the tip people would think it was ours.0 -

Otherwise i might try and find some 'floating candle lights. But love this one, a lot. But its thousands and thousands.
Just a thought but could you get someone to make this for you? LEDs are cheap. Electrically it seems very simple, just a transformer and a lot of bulbs in parallel and there's no heat to speak of so the fire risk is very low. If you can find a glass maker to produce the shapes then Bob's yer Uncle.0 -

Hmm. Tbh i would have no idea where to look even.
I like the little bronze bits too, but if it were to come to the crunch i guess i could without them.
Hmm.....yeah. Glass makers....that should be possible, they make glass in bristol, its whether i can ask them not to make it blue. And finding someone to put the thing together....hmmm0 -

It's really lovely, and I hadn't seen your comment about it being thousands, so I rang up for a price. Umm, two dozen thousands, which seems rather a lot to spend on a light - not that I'm judgemental you understand, but PN will definitely not approve.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
That's one of the eassiest bits. They are cast bronze. That means somebody made ONE out of a material, then cast it in wax .... and now they just pour molten bronze into moulds to create more/identical ones. All you'd need to do is find the shape you want, then find somebody to cast it in wax and send it off to the bronzers to cast you X copies.lostinrates wrote: »
