Oh gdb, you might think its thought ful, but.....when a dog comes to say hello to you in the park with tumeric around ipts chops well...its not easy stuff to wash out of clothes. Or skin actually. I look like a sixty a day smoker after mixing feeds.

Special girl had her last in this series of injections yesterday. They certainly have made her more comfortable. I will feel better if i see her lying down for a sleep, i have not seen that for a while, so i guess she feels too sore in that shoulder to risk it.

I made the mistake of sprinkling some turmeric on a lamb steak on Tuesday, took until Thursday lunchtime to ruddy well get rid of it.

I'm absolutely shattered. My dad - who is generally as fit as a fiddle - was taken into hospital by ambulance last night and I didn't find out until 2.30am that he was ok. So pretty low on the sleep quota today. He was out with his friends when he collapsed (not alcohol induced I hasten to add) and was taken in by ambulance. Thank goodness for my fab s-i-l who picked mum up and took her to the hospital, then brought her and dad back again and helped arrange collection of his car.

Glad your dad's OK now, viva, but sorry you had the worry.

I cannot see how much this is, but i love it. As much as the other lights, an i am hoping we can afford it for over the kitchen table.

Viva - the first one's always a surprise.... I remember my dad was taken ill at work and whisked away.... they found "nothing wrong", but I had to be dropped off to bring his car back from work (25 miles from home) .... first/only time I was ever allowed to drive one of dad's cars - and his cars typically cost him £100 apiece, it's just I wasn't trusted :)

In 2004/2005 I was getting phone calls all the time (well, in the evenings) to take dad to Hospital.... he'd be in for a couple of days then out (and I had to pick him up from that too)...... he saw me as an "instant taxi on a tap" and would never have dreamt of arranging his own transport there/back.

    :)

Or, in ourcase, from a beam ;)

The lights over the island, two of those will be hung froma ceiling so i have to be sensible. (still hopeing they produce a flash sale on the lights i love for there tbh) but this is over the 'dining' area. Needs to be reasonably sizable, but because we have a lot going on up there visually i prefer the idea of something ethereal to something too heavy.

The other thing is this is a very masculine house imo, very. So, Imo there are two things i could 'do' style wise. One is all out man plain. The other is...like a man with a lipstick kiss on his cheek. I am going for the latter.

Those lights are 1 watt each .... get a whole raft of white Xmas tree lights, wrap holly round the wires.... wrap the whole lot round a tree branch .... then hang it up there :) £20.

Ohh! Bright yellow dog turds. Should be easier to avoid in the park. How thoughtful of your mum!
Oi! Luminous dog food so their turds would glow in the dark was my idea! :D

I take a drive each morning to watch the sun come up over the pier ... well, it's been up an hour or more by the time I get there ..... this morning I saw a couple walking two dogs, each of them had an almost transparent orange bag holding poo ... and I thought "EWWWWW". There's no way I'd EVER look after somebody's dog because I don't poop scoop.... EVER.

If it glowed it'd just look worse.
