I have no idea why, but for some bizarre reason I know that the German for muck heap is Misthaufen. I learned this at school and for whatever reason it has stuck in my head. Sadly unlike most of the other German I learnt.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

    Its just not like me!:D

I did do a smidgeon of sweeping, not much, but a bit. Then just ponced about the garden with secateurs a bit dead heading.

I had cold roast beef (bought) for lunch. God that stuff is revolting. Why cannot one buy cold rare roast beef like on the continant? Huh? That is heavenly. And we are meant to be the roastbeefs here.

    And......

I need a new accountant. Mine is about as proactive as.....well, if i make an analogy chewy will suggest that means theat they are infact proactive and doing a great service. I don't want anyone to make our accounts dodgy or ficticious, but just to say ...you should do this...not say...oh yeah, you could have done that...which is what we have atm.

I am to busy being my own doctor to try and be our accountant too.

If we had a good accountqnt i could spend two minutes ina tractor and the worst of the muck heap would be done.

The rural englush term is midden. Which doesn't look like it would sound much different.

so, in haste, we booked some tickets this morning (£1300 for both of us). except that we return one day after best friend's wedding where i'm supposed to be the bridesmaid.

I know i should bow out of being a bridesmaid but do i kill myself to return a day before the wedding to go a wedding where OH doesn't really like the groom?

What would you do? ughhhhh...feeling particularly mortified right now

I would think that it being your best friend trumps your OH not liking the groom? Can you change the tickets without just having to buy a new return?
Don't envy you deciding what to do!

Tell the friend it was booked as a surprise ...... and so you'll have to pull out. Make out it was OH's error and he's so excited as it was a special treat for you for (make up some special reason) that he'd be heartbroken .... and you've not even had the heart to tell him the dates clash yet ... the poor lamb.

If she gets shytty, say "well, it's only a wedding... you'll have another and I PROMISE to come..." :)
