it doesn't help there's 300 people for this wedding
I'm feeling rather stupid as have had to move loads of things for these ticketsGoing to sleep on it as have big day tomorrow to go through first

Noting that you have ignored the dress question!
Would it cost a lot to move the tickets so you were back in time?
Would that leave you with an inconceivably short holiday?I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Not bought dress but have plans. I have dresses in my cupboard that haven't been worn to anything yet.
And it looks like £100/person, just need to ring them tomorrow. would turn a 14-day holiday to a 12-day one. friend has said she doesn't mind either way as it's a marriage not just a wedding etc etc but feeling v guilt tripped.
this is to see my parents that we haven't seen in 2 years so it's really difficult. stupid stupid stupid.0 -
Good news on the DS front. He's now geting geared up to travel to school by bus (not regularly but it's a start). He's already coming home by bus twice a week and we're looking to expand this to four times.
A big advance in the personal autonomy side of things and also thinking selfishly (and guiltily) from the point of view of less parental time spent in chauffeuring on some mornings and most afternoons. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

If she says she doesn't mind then....
On the other hand a 14 day holiday becoming 12 days is manageable. A 7 day becoming 5 days is less so. As you know this sort of thing might directly affect my family...and do you know what, I don't think it is that terrible, the youth worker probably hoped it might encourage the young man to put in the effort and go to school, not realising that his over sensitive over protective mother would rather make a big 'its racist' deal out of it than accept it was a mistake made with good intentions and get on with life - may be she is hoping for some compensation?
The funny thing is most employers I know tend to bend over backwards to improve their employee racial diversity for PR reasons and to reflect their customer base.I think....0 -

Interesting take on things michaels, I hadn't thought of it like that. Aside from the !!!!!! aspect, I just thought, at times this can be true and we know that, but why tell that to a kid who probably has esteem issues to start with? Thanks for showing me a different angle. On reflection you're probably right. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
