PN I'm sure you are on top of things but have you checked out this?

As I understand the outline of paying/not, it's down to "nursing care", or not. And nursing care, I believe, is defined as "do you need a medically qualified person to decide/choose and administer medications" - e.g. drugs. If they're just unable to look after themselves (cooking, cleaning, safety, wandering, dementia, normal meds like calcium tablets and daily tablets) then it doesn't count. So, if a Doctor prescribes 5 tablets a day, if it takes a nurse/Doctor to administer them then that's "nursing care"; if a care giver in a home can hand out the prescribed drugs 5x a day that's not "nursing care" as it doesn't require medical knowledge.
My old has tablets and, when falling, has a district nurse change bandages for a week or so - so that's not nursing.
"Care is free if for health" - left alone, my parent wouldn't be taking the drugs or the right ones, they'd not be cooking/eating, nor drinking enough. But that's not really health is it.... that's just not being able to make decisions and look after themselves. Left alone they'd die of malnutrition, dehydration, or a fall left unattended. There are no meds taken that are "live saving"; just the usual "all old people take these" type of drugs such as calcium tablets (osteoporosis) and some others I've forgotten.
I think that's it.... no 'nursing'.0 -

Really? I always thought he came across as a decent bloke even going back to his athletics days.0 -
Proper autumn morning, wind whistling through my open windows when i woke, grey skies with a watery sun. And cats pressed firmly and warmly into my body. Purring when i woke up but appearing out from under the duvet with big, cross and sad eyes when i get up.
There is stuff i want to get on with but thaty is on the banned list. I would not mind forking up the muck heap today, its a nice warm job, but its 'lifting' I would also not mind staring the epic yard sweeping (its all looking very messy. But that for some reason also gets my head in a tizz. Weeding (needs doing desperately) is out as it involves 'bending'.
I was thinking even if i just do fifteen minutes on the muck heap its something, and i can just try and take very small fork fulls.0 -

Oh, i am not doubting his integrity or anything like that, i just...don't like him. You know those sort of people you come across in life. You feel you should like them, you respect them in ways, but they just have the 'anti' click factor, a sort of repel thing. Its obviously not pheremones ( in fcat, i have met hima couple of times, but i was just a kid and did not snifff him) its just ...you know....anti click?0 -

I know just what you mean, but have never been able to put it into words.
Sort of "Not my type" but more than that, "active repel" rather than "not interested". The feeling that anyone else who liked him would need to explain how/why because i don't get how anyone could.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Well, i am relieved its not just me! Yes, active repel.
And yet, he seems really popular, so I have always put it down to beiong my oddity not his. Which i maintain is perfectly possible!:D0 -
I wasn't referring to Seb, just the occasional normal person that you meet.
I also know one guy that triggers the active repel in most of my female friends. The men don't understand it and don't see it, but all the girls think the same. There really is no obvious reason and I'm sure his wife is unaware.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I think with Seb there's no warmth. He comes across more as an efficient machine than a person. There's no implied softness, or quirkyness. At least round here, which ever part of the board you go to, there's plenty of quirk, even if softness and warmth doesn't come in buckets. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
