    I've been Money Tipped!
I did not see para opening or closing ceremonies. I have wondered though, were the performers in them disabled or just key performers in the troupe?

Don't know - we still have some left from the Tesco Double the Difference 'episode' :) I'm sure if you just read through a couple of the threads tho (only 42 pages added so far today)...:rotfl:

I do have a confession to make tho, I have been very remiss in my matched betting recently despite the free money of the Bet-at-home and Bet365 reloads recently, I need you to motivate me to stop leaving the free money lying around.

My shop of £30.02 in Asda would apparently have only cost me £3.32 in Tesco so I now have an Asda voucher for 27.04...oops

You want to be careful you don't get 'trouted' with such a large voucher

This has been a stressful day! The issues started yesterday, really. Knowing that my darling youngest son would be driving up to Edinburgh today, I took the car for a quick test drive yesterday. There was a horrible noise coming from the fan, because the fan blades had become detached from the motor. This was the cooling fan for the radiator. DS: "Oh, is that why it keeps overheating? It's been like that for ages." So, why not tell me about this?

So, today started with a mad dash to Euro car parts, then I had to buy a small socket set, but just after 12 the car was fully working again.

Darling youngest son loaded up the car, set off for Edinburgh, got as far as the nearest Tesco, filled up with petrol (using a 5p off voucher!), and the clutch linkage broke. So, he had gone roughly 1% of the way to Edinburgh by the time we needed to call the breakdown service to tow him home again.

I'm hoping the linkage will be enough to justify sending the verdammte Auto to the scrappies. (Actually, it's a Fiat, so I should have said la dannata macchina. Is it only Fiat who make vital moving parts of the car out of plastic?))

Then we rushed him to Kings Cross for the 5PM train, and now he is lost in the heart of Edinburgh with all his stuff.

What gets me is that DYS is oblivious of the contrast between "I'm an adult, and you can't tell me what to do" and "The car's broken, dad, so how are you going to get me to Edinburgh?"

I've also spent 2 hours packing up the stuff he couldn't take on the train and arranging a courier.

Edit: He's made it, after ringing 4 times for directions. (It's 0.3 mile from the station to his uni hostel.)
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I have made it to my holiday destination. Had assistance at the airport- oh the shame being golf buggied. We had booked and paid for extra roomseats, however because they wereover wing and I was assisted we got moved. The tall Mr S took it rather well.

Mr S is fast asleep and I am not so now outside catching up on your news. LIR - I like the improved well being. Gdb your son sounds brilliant - I love the teenage mixed messages stuff and lack of planning - very funny when they are not yours. Micheal your shopping is amazing as ever.

DH is having tennis coaching this week so do not feel I must be entertaining. There is a fabulous spa here- that might get my presence later in the week.

LIR - your local man got another spot in the DM. Same 'story', but regurgitated with more tittle tattle and they've been through their image library to pad it out with stock photos.
