I have just been offered £150 scrap for the car. That's looking like the course I'll take. Annoyingly, it's just had £55 of petrol put into it, and I'm not convinced that I can be bothered to siphon it out. Plus a £95 fan.

This Fiat has caused more trouble than all the other cars I have ever had put together - except the Daf, but that's not saying much.

dunno how old it is, but you can't siphon fuel out of most cars these days. i think safety standards require the addition of a valve in the fuel tank which prevents it (and also prevents fuel leaking out if the car rolls). i think this has been pretty standard for about 20 years now. you might have to drain the tank by making a hole in it e.g. knocking a nail into it or something.

I'm not quite sure I'd recommend that course of action

Just scoffed down two 'home made' pizzas. Two Asda chilli naans .... topped with kebab meat, red onions, fiery chilli tomato ketchup, green/yellow peppers, cheddar and some random herbes de provences I've got. Smashing they were :)

pffft you kids with your 'ealth and safety, to quote stewart lee, "it's political correctness gone mad".

personally i would have no qualms with hammering a nail into a fuel tank, although i wouldn't actually know where the fuel tank was or what it looked like.

It's one of the big flat bulges you can see underneath/at the rear of your car (usually). Big flat square thing.

The old kitchen new study is almost completely insulated. The difference is amazing. Even with sodding great holes whete windows should be i think its the warmest room here. Its lost its hollow sound and feel, as if it were furnished too. The room is a bit smaller, but boy is it gonna be worth it.

I have just had a thought...you don't think it could be too warm do you? :)

It's easier to open a window .... than to try to get the temperature up :)
