Wouldn't have done well here. I shake things when they come out of the tumble dryer!

I am afraid every thing is so filthy here atm if i didn't shake it before going in all yuck would be in my machine. Also...cats also sleep in laundry piles, though mine only every sleep in clean laundry it never hurts to check!

Sunny here ... bit breezy .... I'll be in/out all day. Got some washing on and found some jobs to apply for ..... still need to find/load/update my CV though ....

I'd also like to buy some bread and eggs.

Nuker's not been replaced, but I did spot what looks like a short "To Do" list on the worktop this morning and it said microwave.... so maybe one will appear by magic later today.

Feeling grumpy. My head hurts, i am deaf in right ear, and freezing, freezing cold. My hands are like blocks of ice. I was warm last night.

To top it all off, visiting parent picked me up some milk (very kind of them) but its so e srt of adulterated crud with plant so ething or others in it and it tastes both thin and greasy in my tea.

There's an iron here.... a steam one. Lovely ... except [a] I've always been rubbish at ironing I've never used a steam one before.

But, I have a couple of shirts that have been washed and are the sort I'd normally keep for years at the back of the cupboard as they need ironing (or washing again and pulled straight, then worn "as you find me" style).

So - this steam thing. Worked out it was empty - so thought I'd fill it. Googled and it takes tap water. Put some in. Petrified in case that's not where you put it in and in case it exploded... plugged it in, it didn't explode.

Used it - but couldn't work out how to operate the steam bit. There are two buttons - tried pressing both those and no joy.

So, shirts are pretty much ironed, but still a bit creased.

Oh well.... that's me and ironing done for the year!!

I have Curry Boob. This is what you get when you somehow manage to flick a little bit of curry down your front when you're stirring a saucepan .....

I had the cold flu thing last week but worked through it with paracetemol as had a deadline at work but I will try and be sympathetic. allegedly paracetemol and hot drinks are just as good as lemsip add a small amount of caffeine too.

Is it a steam iron or a steam generator - we love the steam generator but they break so quickly - our first one we got a warranty replacement after 6 months then a refund after 5 more, switched to a supposed premium brand (bosch) and we are now on our third (second replacement) after 18 months - luckily this one was a 2 year warranty. A 150 quid iron should not last only 8 months imho :(

LIR I hope you feel better soon - does anyone else think sometimes the day before you get sick you feel really well and full of energy?
    I think....

Iron. Never heard of a steam generator. This one's a £15 or so model that (when I googled it to find out if it took tap water) was at Mr S for £3.12 at some point (75% off)

Mmmm, i want grapefruit! Might put that on the food list for the weekend. My favourite is a salad of hot duck, watercress and grapefruit. Its everything one could want from supper, hot, healthy tasting and unctuous.
