The wreck's roof is DONE. The new tiles have been slipped as least obviously onto the old ones so as to blend in quickly, and the wobble remains, but is supported. It just looks .....perfectly imperfect iykwim.
The dogs are glad the dog phobic builders have gone, and just raced out to love the core team. They just love one of the nice builders in particular. He is not that keenon dogs, but has grown to lile the rates dogs. I just found him feeding them dog biscuits.. Dog dog in particular is going to miss him a lot.

But, I have a couple of shirts that have been washed and are the sort I'd normally keep for years at the back of the cupboard as they need ironing (or washing again and pulled straight, then worn "as you find me" style).
So - this steam thing. Worked out it was empty - so thought I'd fill it. Googled and it takes tap water. Put some in. Petrified in case that's not where you put it in and in case it exploded... plugged it in, it didn't explode.
Used it - but couldn't work out how to operate the steam bit. There are two buttons - tried pressing both those and no joy.
So, shirts are pretty much ironed, but still a bit creased.
Oh well.... that's me and ironing done for the year!!
Generally one button is for squirting water directly out of a little hole at the front of the iron and the other button is for producing more steam. To generate steam the iron has to be held hovering horizontally and heated to the right temperature (generally marked with a steam picture on the temp dial).I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Dial's tricky. I think that needs a good pair of glasses and good light to read/understand as it's underneath the handle. It's like this: http://thumbs2.ebaystatic.com/d/l225/m/mBCQYBsWFJrRL-TZiHIHI1w.jpg
I've only ever had a normal iron, that looked like the one my mum had in the 1960s.0 -

Today I've had the remainder of Sat's injun..... and I bought a 500g bag of Lidl's bounty bars and scoffed about 8 of those so far.
I did whip up some coronation pasta/egg salad earlier, which is boxed and chilling in the fridge. Also bought other salady stuff: peppers, small plum tomatoes, eggies. So loads of stuff in now and loads of things I can make. Bought bread so I can try out my newly acquired cooking gadget some time in the next few days.... and I can do toast with bread.0 -
I've been round silver's neck of the woods today. Although its pretty close, for whatever reason I've never really spent much time there. It's really lovely. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
