Well he might have had a hectic day but I envy him- he'll have a great time in Edinburgh.

Dare I ask how much the train ticket was? I've got to figure out how to get that far north for my upcoming car swap. :(

£80 return, with a 16-25 railcard. That was booked at zero notice. The single fare is barely cheaper.

The funny thing is that I said to him not to take the car, but the train, and we'd courier a lot of his stuff up. He insisted on driving. His paranoia will kick in soon, and he'll accuse me of engineering the car's breakdown.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

coming back from birmingham on sunday, and having to buy a ticket at zero notice due to my own incompetence, i think the price for a single was £34 and a return £35. it was definitely only £1 more expensive to have the return, which improved my mood immensely.

The school are still messing up...youngest still has no escort to take him over to the other campus, so it was down to me to dash down there to pick him up and take him over after a panic phone call.

This is a real safe guarding issue, youngest is classified as vulnerable and is unable to cope at the present time with lone walking on an unfamiliar route especially with lack of support over on the other campus because of their original mess up where he could get so stressed that he just disappears in a meltdown trying to make his way home. Due to his needs, I myself am not allowed to let him go out and about alone, so how can the school be allowed to do so?

I sometimes think I have worked too well on their ability to cope in lessons that they appear far too normal and people forget that these are not normal run of the mill children and that for any kind of major change, they need a huge amount of support to do it successfully (the head teacher even said youngest appeared to be doing well considering his diagnosis but hadn't realised the amount of therapies and work I did with him at home to enable him to do as well as he is)
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Point out to him that you'd have not done it when the car had just been filled up, but would have engineered a smaller journey with only £5 of fuel in the tank ... and giving more notice of the calamity.

I have just been offered £150 scrap for the car. That's looking like the course I'll take. Annoyingly, it's just had £55 of petrol put into it, and I'm not convinced that I can be bothered to siphon it out. Plus a £95 fan.

This Fiat has caused more trouble than all the other cars I have ever had put together - except the Daf, but that's not saying much.

It's only your face, glasses removed, hair scraped back ......eyes front. You could be as naked as you like from the chin down, the passport man will never know.

You should take the time to syphon it out..... even if you have to pay a local mobile garage man to do it for you. £0 -v- (say) £20 to the little man .... straight into your tank.

Remove the fan and sell it on ebay. In fact, it might be worthwhile taking a lot of the 'spares' off yourself and flogging on ebay. Just scrap the carcass
