Think the head is a little scared of me to be honest, he knows I know the rules and he knows he cannot just palm me off, so he tried a bit of ego bolstering saying what a wonderful parent I am :rotfl: My reply was I am no more a wonderful parent than any other person at the school, just a normal parent who knows their child and their disability inside out because I have had to fight for him all the way to prevent him being written off and stuck in some residential school...but thank you anyway for the comment.:D

    Love it.

DS has just come rushing into the room to tell me to look at today's Google thingy - it's Star Trek, with lots of things to click on. :)

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Have been trying to get work done on our front hedge. People keep stopping to talk. Its lovely, but i need to find a polite way to tell people we must press on. Dh looked daggers at me when i ended up inviting one couple to tea tomorrow afternoon. I can see why, but...i thought it would let us press on now.

I was 'playing' with it last night.... nothing much happens - mouse over and a couple of bits have a frame round them - click on those and it goes to another screen ... where there are another couple of things with frames on and you can click those. Result of which is : nothing much happens, it's pointless.

Which browser are you using? I'm on a Windows machine running IE8. and nothing much happens.:(

Try clicking on the door on the right hand side...
    (I'm using Chrome)

Edit - but as PN says, its doesn't do much compared to some of the other Google doodles

It's only fun if you're familiar with Star Trek. DS was enjoying recognising which letter was which character, and remembering which episodes are referenced by the things you can do. I'm using chrome, but I've just tried it with IE and it works. Click on the doors and you will find yourself in the transporter room etc.

It gave him and me a happy 3 or 4 minutes of harmless entertainment, anyway. :)

Daisy Palmer Trust has a webpage on facebook.

She is 9 this week and seems to have some events organised. Lots of pictures of her looking happy but she is hooked up to a machine 18 hours a day.
