I'm onto Hidden Talent now :)
    You'll get that next.

Meatballs programme was annoying really ... that bloke is annoying. He might have a business etc, but he didn't seem to grasp a lot of fundamentals that I thought everybody knew. He must be where he is because of who he knows and luck.

The farm is just a few miles down the road from us...takes us about 10 minutes to drive there.

He really has done some amazing, quite forward thinking things on the farm bearing in mind he started off with not much of a clue at all and we love visiting to see what else he has done there. He certainly does not rest on his laurels and is never scared of trying something new which has educational impact and helps our local economy.

Ok, some of his ideas are quite oddball but on the whole, he appears to have got a grasp of what people want..a cheap day out where the children can be involved and educated and the parents can relax in lovely surroundings, it is one of those places where I can afford to take the boys and they are happy.

Re university, yes it is the University of Hertfordshire which is his number one choice, quite pleased with that as previously, his first choice was blooming Bangor! His second choice is Nottingham Trent, not quite so good for travel distance but we do have relatives living in the area.

Jubilee weekend - Sunday we are going to an all day charity music thing and Monday, we are going to an all day pub party/music jam event. Well that is the plan, closer we are getting to the weekend, the more youngest is getting antsy about it all.

Middle son yesterday walked to school! He walked with a fellow band mate (as he is not safe to go on his own) and did the walk in an excellent time, they really must have got a stomp on...progress is being made in huge steps with him just now.

    Right off for school run.....
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

I used a google area plotter to establish that the garden (that my parents always said was 1/4 acre) where I grew up was 1/10th of an acre. That was loads. In that we had 3 lawn areas, some fruit trees, loads of flowers, hundreds of herbs and 20+ veggies. Trouble was, freezing was a black art and my mum wasn't that good. She seemed to pick the veggies, blanch them, bung them into plastic bags, chuck them in the freezer - and everything was a large, mis-shapen bag of unappetising looking things with freezer burn.

Mum probably got her first freezer when she was close to 50, she had a couple of written books (no pictures), there were no telly programmes and no Internet to get further help/advice/input. So you read the book and followed the instructions and if you got it wrong, or didn't really "get it" you just ended up with inedible, horrible looking stuff in the freezer.

I remember she used to freeze old/stringy green beans, broad beans (that only dad liked anyway) and stewed apples.

Quick update for NP's close to a telly. Loreen, Swedish Eurovision winner, will be giving her first (UK?) TV interview on BBC1 breakfast show shortly. They just announced it before going into the local news.

Obviously the course choice is important - and 101 other considerations.

In terms of status of institution and of the full university experience of living in a town geared up to student life, I wouldn't have put those two in the same league. Nottingham would be far better. I am very surprised that the grade offers are anywhere near each other.

One thing that's been bugging me about the Loreen song all along, since I first heard it and every time I hear it is: I'm SURE I've heard it before. It sounds so familiar, but I can't put my finger on it. I could be thinking of anything from the past 20 years.... but it's just soooo familiar.

So I've just switched over. Have I missed the Eurovision bit already?

That guy's amazing, it's like half his body has sunk into the sofa. I have so many questions. Like what is his shirt tucked in to?
