...I am needle phobic and unsurprisingly do not have any piercings or tattoos. Do other NP have anything?
No piercings, no tattoos, same for Mrs. WheezyI found it's almost exactly a year to the day since I first stumbled on the NP thread thnking it was about gardening (and life expectancy).
And then you found out it's about piercings, chalet girls, crisp sandwiches and dogs on a bra.PasturesNew wrote: »I've seen a LOT of .... er ... xxx ... and I've only ever known ONE chopped.

We're off to the New Forest next weekend, booked a B&B.
Going Friday evening, back Sunday evening.
The idea is to walk, rest, eat and drink, same for doggy.
Anyone know if the beaches around Milford-on-Sea/Barton-on-Sea are worth a visit?0 -
I think I have been to the one at Milford. Can't remember what it was like though which may say something....I think....0

Spontaneous trips have been limited to this country up to only recently. Both because of animals (the kids) and because of cash. We really have only been able to afford stuff like this the last 3 or 4 years.
We're now playing catch up, but still mainly organised stuff. eg Going to see the first couple of tests of the Lions tour in Aus in 2013 too. (Can't stay for the third test due to eldest's graduation... :mad:... I'll let her off if she gets a first
)
We don't have a free weekend for spontaneous for ages... and I'll want to stay at home when it is free. I guess we're a few years off that kind of spontaneous yet
I guess i always think kids are more portable than critters.. Money though...yeah. Its a shame we cannot all have more.
The problem is, leave it too long and the ability to up and go is challanged in other ways (stiff joints, enough of various prescriptions to last the trip)
I really want to go to brighton soon. But i don't trust our car for a long journey. We have been looking at tractors, and if we get one we can get a cleaner smarter car. Still need 4 wd for shifting feed bags from feed suppliers home, and for room for dogs.0 -

What's the train like? Just did a quick look, 3 hours each way, 1 change each way, £42 each return if you go tomorrow.0 -

Car is more flexible. Because i don't travel well. Car hire is a good plan.
Really though, we need to sort out our car situation. We bought in desperation last year and made a bad choice.0 -

I have the opposite view. Being self employed I don't have regular paydays, but the kids have their pocket money/ allowance on the 1st of each month.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Mine was Friday. But it's next month I'm looking forward to. Bonus time! I'm going to take home more next month than I've ever taken home in a single month in my life but I've got fingers crossed that it's a record for only six months.
