I get one guaranteed payday/month (so long as I make more than £100) and then random drips throughout the month .... today another £6. This month I'll probably rake in a staggering £250.... it'll improve, once my head's settled (and I'm back in the zone).....

I definitely have the lowest income here..... even a single person on the dole would get more than me :)

I guesstimate my monthly expenses to be just under £100, to be deducted off that income.

I miss Brighton really badly :(

It's in the plan to move back there permanently (to sell London place and buy not rent).

We have set 5 years as realistic and I pray house prices just trundle along as they are (or drop but I think that's unlikely in real terms) just not go up as it will probably be a trade up as houses soooo expensive down there.....but with good reason.

OH bought a BMW estate recently and it's a solid, useful vehicle. worth looking out for one. It is 05 plate and was £3500. Drives like a new car, great on fuel and nippy too.

We don't miss the Freelander at all.

It was a freelander burning to a crisp that delayed us on the way home on the M3 2 weeks ago.

I quite like the volvo crossover. Whether we xould afford one is a different matter......

The freelander has benefits. Its nice to fit in normal parking spaces (though the turning circle is a pig). Windows that close and heating, unlike the old defender, are not to be sniffed at!

Nice builder rates his utility vehicle a lot, and in someways that would make sense, but too big to nip to London in. Plus, we are looking at second hand tractors atm, which would take a lot of the actual work ( that rhe freelander sasly is not man enough for) off the need of our vehicle. When we get a lorry too.....it becomes almost a normal car....but for feed collections and dogs the size of shetland ponies.
