PN have you not contacted NHS direct? You should. I don't know what's causing your symptoms but I'm concerned somebody in the know should talk about it with you.0 -

Have you got a health records file out there somewhere?
Some random bod in a health centre really needs to know your history to make a reliable diagnosis - but an unreliable diagnosis is better than nothing and tests can follow.
It's hard to go to Doctors for me, so if things don't go smoothly I retreat.0 -
You can go as a 'visitor' to your nearest prctise. Phone them, tell them you are staying in the area to see if you want to move there but need to see a doctor. You can tell them on the phone about speshulness too, it may mean they are more understanding.
Seriously pn, if i can go to a gp any one can. I do know how dispondant the lack of efficiency can make one feel, and how powerless, but better to be seen in this instance than not.
Call nhs direct first if you prefer, call from. Obile, the first call does not take long, then a nurse calls you back. Ime day time like now is quickler than later in the day or the evening when the service sometimes just says unless its urgent please call back.0 -

I can't operate while other people are around.... my dad was always super-nosey and I was brought up having to explain the minutae of everything I did.... and that meant I ended up feeling I have to explain my every action to anybody around..... so I'll wait until my flatmate's gone away (tomorrow for a week) ... so I don't feel any need to explain why I want to use the phone, or why I'm going out and where .... etc.
Sounds bizarre, I'm sure that was an upbringing thing, not a speshul thing (although it could be the speshul thing, who knows).
So, phone from mobile outside, give them you mobile number and when they call back say 'oh, i'll take this outside' and off you go. You can even arrange to be out when they advise you the will call back.....any. Where you get reception. I would be out peronally, explore some where in the car.0 -

Half of us probably smoke too much and the rest don't know you can make ice cubes from leftover wine because they've never encountered leftover wine.
The world mortality rate is holding steady at 100% but I'm betting we can manouvre our fate to our advantage;)
I never realised you could make ice cubes from left over wine and mine isn't because I have leftover wine.....I rarely drink so I have unopened bottles instead :rotfl:We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Morning all, I've logged on for 10 minutes from my local library (for that matter I don't work at my local library). This feels strange as I'm not at work today. Can't get online from home at the moment as my blinking damn Dell laptop has had both its battery fail and its power supply. New battery has arrived but can't plug it in and charge which is very frustrating!!! I should have listened to Silvercar! Dell aren't what they used to be.
Have only had a very brief read, but good luck Jelly, don't stay away too long, good news for those people getting their uni places, hope that the NPs that aren't feeling too good are on the mend soon. And good luck James with the driving lessons. Sorry I've missed people, but haven't had a chance to read everything. Hope to be back again sometime round midweek if the postal service is working. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

This thread is a bit quiet. Usually I have trouble keeping up.
Pastures are you still suffering from your symptoms of yesterday and if so have you now got a plan to seek medical advice next week? (sorry I am a mum, therefore cannot help but seek to impose my will).
Mr S is currently sitting in the "minors" part of the local A&E. He has been triaged, given pain relief and is now in a 3 hour wait. I keft him there and came home to 'get on with things' aka going on MSE and having a cold drink.
He fell in the woods whilst running yesterday morning, dislocated a finger and has done something to some of his ribs.
He is supposed to be flying off elsewhere in the morning and this was one of the few weekends he has been home this summer.0
