Pastures are you still suffering from your symptoms of yesterday and if so have you now got a plan to seek medical advice next week? (sorry I am a mum, therefore cannot help but seek to impose my will).
Mr S is currently sitting in the "minors" part of the local A&E. He has been triaged, given pain relief and is now in a 3 hour wait. I keft him there and came home to 'get on with things' aka going on MSE and having a cold drink. He fell in the woods whilst running yesterday morning, dislocated a finger and has done something to some of his ribs.
He is supposed to be flying off elsewhere in the morning and this was one of the few weekends he has been home this summer.0 -
Poor mr s.

Good plan.
Self inflicted.... no sympathy. You enjoy the sun .... he's having fun eyeballing nurses
I agree. Exercise is not all it is cracked up to be on the health front.
He has fractured his ribs. Advice: Take paracetemol & Ibuprofen, it will get worse before it gets better (day 5 Weds will be worst, after which it should start to feel better). He is OK to fly.
Dilemma - should he go tomorrow? He is not due back home until next Sunday. It is work, very busy, lots of people, very sociable alongside the business end. 8am to miidnight or later expected most days. I once picked him up from an afternoon flight from this location and he had not been to bed at all the night before, and my normally respectable OH was still under the influence. Worry, worry.
On the postive side DD and her bf are going there on Thurs for a long weekend as it is expected to be fun.0 -

Dh cracked a rib or two that last winter before we bought. Slipping onto a feed bucket which was ridgid in the cold. He found normal stuff ok, but things like pulling a light carry on suitcase not comfortable.
What does he want to do spirit.
With the other stuff, you know, i was told i wasn't forever either, i keep proving them wrong. Medicine progresses and i am not sure what the lady you mentioned had but, i would not plan on demise if i were her.
Fwiw i also know someone with extensive skin grafts from child hood that had to be attended too through out her life. They told her she would not carry kids, and she carried two, the skin gras stretching with her babies by itself.0 -
so we've had a rubbish potato and tomato year (high humidity with early heat) but loads of sweetcorn (some ready to harvest) and I've had 1kilo of french beans every week for the past month. Now if only I could grow something else.....0

It's hot, hot, hot. Flattie's away and left me the weekly bus ticket.... with 2 days' worth of travel on it, so I eventually dragged my sad and sorry !!! out to the stop ... and got on the bus and rode it to the end. Result ... there was an Asda at the end, so popped in to get some (cheap) cans of drink ... looked for food but there wasn't much I fancied that was portable.... wandered around, then it was back to the stop to wait for the next bus back. Open-topped it was... glorious sunshine. Could have walked quicker as the traffic was at a standstill, so a nice long leisurely ride, to the opposite end... which is at the end of my posh road. Got off and thought I'd wait for the next bus back to mine.... which took an hour, then two came at once.
Still not found anything to eat..... it's manic out there..... people, cars, bikes, everywhere... gridlock. And hot, hot, hot.0 -

Proper home-grown carrots are divine.... I've not had any for about 30 years (parents used to grow them) - you just can't GET that flavour anywhere else except fresh from the ground! .... so ... GROW CARROTS!0 -
Oh ... also witnessed a rescue of some fools. 3-4 people in a kayak, in super-fast rapids that run between the two headlands.... and as fast as they were paddling forwards, they were going backwards at a rate of knots.... and the ferry was approaching. Small boat went over and grabbed them and gave them a tow out of the fast-moving crazy white-water-rafting-style water.... bet they felt like plonkers.0

Confound it, i seem to have got one of those ' if you notice x call your doctor immeadiately' side effects. I am not 100% sure yet though. I have got on with these meds so well. And was going to be increasing dose on tuesday. Wonder what happens now. Sigh.0
