Didn't get on really yesterday....went out for the local carnival and ended up going into the local park for the carnival festivities after the procession (something we never do) because they had reduced the admission prices this year to an amount where I felt it was reasonable.

Well, 7 hours later, we finally left...and all for £4.

After that, it was straight home, get tea done and then out to my brother's for our usual Saturday night music night.

It was hot, very very hot...in fact, we appeared to be the hottest area in the country yesterday and by god did it feel it, it was quite a relief when the sun started to go behind the trees at the park, one because it meant we could look at the acts on stage without squinting and two, because it cooled it down a small amount.

Today, we went to my parent's and listened to the music coming from the park as they live literally across the road....bargain considering it would have cost me £9 otherwise.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

For all those complaining about the heat, Devon has been cold, very wet and miserable all week made worse by the fact that on the few occasions when the internet did work the BBC weather page defaulted to Herts so I could see exactly what we were missing. I also find staying at my parents just too hard work to be relaxing but I have to keep reminding myself 'its for the kids' and they do love it there, and we certainly can't afford any better holiday for them at the moment.

Congrats to all the NPs DKs and teachers on their exam results and hopefully all the NP who have been unwell are improving and Lemon is enjoying as much as possible his absence.
    I think....

    My sister says thanks :)

CK has some good news (as I should have told you last month, but then !!!!!! happened); after 12 years together, we have the 2nd NP engagement of 2012. No date has been set as yet, but will probably be next year at some point.

I'm going to Rustavi, as we're only here for 3 days more :(

We've been together for just over 12 years (06.07.00), DD1 was born in June 2001, so I think there's been plenty of time for that :p

Your SoH never fails to amaze me, Pastures! :rotfl::T

I knew a guy years ago who wanted to go out with me - but I didn't like him - so he dated a "sub-standard look-a-like of me" as everybody kept saying.... and eventually she pinned him down to an engagement.... but he always felt he could do better (he couldn't).... and was still hoping at least 9 years later when they still hadn't got married.... it was a standing joke.

Confound it, i seem to have got one of those ' if you notice x call your doctor immeadiately' side effects. I am not 100% sure yet though. I have got on with these meds so well. And was going to be increasing dose on tuesday. Wonder what happens now. Sigh.

In the words of the younger generation, "what part of "immediately" do you not understand?"

If you need an anti-dote, you can't wait until the time you would be due to take the next dose.

I'm sure that is not the only reason you've stuck together!

Though maybe it was the first reason! ;)
