Is there something I have missed?
We're all thinking that!;)
Anyway, finally fed up with being the thread's Fred Flintstone and splashed out on a budget, very-SME smartphone.
Uses android, it does.
Looking for advice on what are the most useful apps if anyone here uses anything similar. I've downloaded
Evernote
Dropbox
iPlayer
Librivox (audiobooks)
Grooveshark
Any suggestions for anything you've found useful? Is it worth getting kindle/ or is there any free/cheap software that lets you check MS Office documents in dropbox for example?
I'm on a dirt-cheap talkmobile PAYG and using the internet mainly via wifi. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Interesting program on BBC2. James May's Things You Need To....
Just did a bit about brains and how they found out that different bits did different things.
I missed most of it though, it just finished.0 -
I will finally be getting a posh phone.... within 2 weeks. So ... should I get the same one Zag's got, or can the supershopper find something better?
As of today I'd be wanting to: surf t'Internet/here(?), read emails (maybe), GPS (find out if that's any good) .... and take d4mned good photos with a good optical zoom.
Oh - and barcode scanning .... not sure why I'd want it, but it sounds useful.
I am also a HEAVY user of Evernote.... it's running on my laptop every minute the laptop's on and it now contains my whole life.0 -

Alas, I'm a long-standing very customer and no discount for me!:(
Firefox, you say; (I use it on my mac) - is that a better browser than the built-in android one (which lacks a name as far as I can see).
I like the sound of some of those apps.:T
I just found out what the sleepmaker one is. Years ago, visiting the US I saw cassettes of rainstorm in city background sounds The tagline was "The Future of Music Isn't Music"). Was tempted to buy it oddly enough as I find the sound of rain calming when I'm indoors). I think I've found it it's this. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
