having a lunch with some of my friends for my birthday this weekend. one of my best friends has just told me he is not coming because he has got tickets for the olympics. fair enough....what tickets has he got? tickets to the 11/12th playoff in the hockey...well i suppose if it's the only event you could get to...no, you've been to 2 evening sessions of the athletics including sitting on the finish line for the men's 100m on sunday, and three other events in the olympic park....hmm.
might have to dump him.0 -

Twigs! A house near us needing total refurb inc central heating was for sale earlier this year, probate for £340, not sure what it sold for.
It now has central heating, a flat roof ground floor extension about 5mx3m and wood flooring/new carpets throughout. Spend of about 40k I guess.
So asking price now is...£525k?!
(And to think we were thinking of buying it, adding an extension and a loft bedroom for 70k and thinking it would sell for about 470...)I think....0 -
The 200m was the best race I have ever seen, beating the 100m hands down & the Jamaicans got 1,2 & 3. Brilliant.0

Have a go at it, a sport where for all its demands, you do get to sit down..
Edit , i always prefer to work to music, its a bit like sychronised swimming though.....its physically demanding but 'sport ' v art for dressage to music i s harder to argue.0 -
