there were two major crashes. It's horrendous, especially with the slow motion action replays of the crashes, rather than the skilled riding.

Thanks - having watched it I see what you mean. Kinda reminds me of being driven by the GF

After a long talk we are considering buying in London now. Teeny tiny flatlet, in partnership with parent. Not sure is we can afford it, the idea being parent would buy and we would put the current rental amount into it each month. Would cost a little more than currently, but would get us a pad. Difficulty would be cost,. Only makes sense for dh if he is really very central.

Mazel Tov! (Which sounds better than the literal translation: good luck!)

Where is dh staying in London at the moment, who pays, and how much does it cost? Oh, and where does he need to be near?

This is a good buy at the moment (25%) off, and worth the full price. http://www.waitrosewine.com/230201611/Product.aspx

Warning, posh alert and all that. It doesn't really qualify as an MSE if you measure value in terms of pence per unit of alcohol, though.

He stays a twenty min walk from his office. Atm thats where he is on secondment, longer term will be the City again i imagine.

Cost..... Not so much, we are not sure how much we would have to borrow atm so the extra cost etc is not possible to calculate. A
We pay, who else would :D? I need to have a good look about for what we could get where. Still kickingmyself for the london one that got away, years ago now. :(

You need to scroll down to the final couple of pictures to appreciate the point. :D

Ah sorry, I asked a silly question, but in mitigation I found the following confusing: "we would put the current rental amount into it each month. Would cost a little more than currently,"

So, he rents at the moment, but would in future rent from your mum? That could put a strain on the relationship. There are always tensions between landlords and tenants.
