I'm in a cheese coma.
Found a proper old fashioned cheese monger.
And that was dinner with some farmhouse bread. (plus the obligatory bottle of beaujolais)
Isle of Mull vintage cheddar, Mimolette and a dish of St Felicien warmed in the oven before dipped with toasted bread.
(sorry Gen, couldn't resist.)
Although having now googled the Mimolette, I'm not entirely sure I should have enjoyed it as much as I did.... Cheese mites..... Hmm....
And yes, that crust is hard enough to break cheese wires.....“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

If it was Cabernet I may have went for it but I find Blanc a bit "rough".
New Zealand Sauv Blancs are very much the wine of the moment.
Although, as everyone has cottoned on, some of the cheaper varieties are now indeed a bit rough,.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.

You sound like your in cheese extacy.
I can have it or leave it, personally.
Cheese on toast, cheese n pasta and grated cheese with salad are my favs. In that order!
Maybe if I had the above cheese I'd be "held" forever so I best stick to what I know and let it be "another" food.
BTW. Sounds like you need to invest in a decent cheese wire0 -

I only have the under £10 a bottle so i'm probably at the rougher end
I've had Pinot Grigio the last few weeks but Cabernet Savignon in my fav.
I love Lateral Sauvignon Cabernet best but It's not in my Tesco now
Think I should try and source it from elsewhere.0 -

New Zealand wines are obscure as Swiss wines to me. Actually I can even remeber the times before the Big Scandal when you could get Austrian winers evermywhere here.
I always remember you used to be able to get a lovely New Zealand lager which was in a lot of shops here and can't seem to find it any more. Anyone else remember what that is?There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
The only kiwi beers I know are speights and steinlager and they are both horrible.0

This is a good buy at the moment (25%) off, and worth the full price. http://www.waitrosewine.com/230201611/Product.aspx
Warning, posh alert and all that. It doesn't really qualify as an MSE if you measure value in terms of pence per unit of alcohol, though.
Any of these do as a substitute?

I have ordered some of the Wither Hills SB, but it is a touch sweet possibly. I must say that Calais prices are quite tempting. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

You ought to try Casu Marzu then

When I go to NZ I usually drink Palliser SB. It's better than Cloudy Bay and half the price. It's not that easy to get here, last time I bought it was through Virgin Wines.0
