having a lunch with some of my friends for my birthday this weekend. one of my best friends has just told me he is not coming because he has got tickets for the olympics. fair enough....what tickets has he got? tickets to the 11/12th playoff in the hockey...well i suppose if it's the only event you could get to...no, you've been to 2 evening sessions of the athletics including sitting on the finish line for the men's 100m on sunday, and three other events in the olympic park....hmm.

    might have to dump him.
The world doesn't revolve around you, you see.
And .... if you dump him .... you might JUST be making his year :)

Explaining Dressage to a colleague they summarised it as "horses behaving".

    I like that.

Competitive dressage i might sometimes describe as horses submitting though :o:(

Yep - DW could understand every word of the post race interviews and is now going to be insufferably smug...

The 200m was the best race I have ever seen, beating the 100m hands down & the Jamaicans got 1,2 & 3. Brilliant.

We're down in Adjara (finally), two minutes from the beach with the 'Georgian' Khalvashis' (the ones that still live in Georgia)

Someone googled OH, found a video, as they were trying to explain to someone (Turkish) who OH is, and I couldn't help but notice the 4th and bottom three comments were a bit off! This is the exact reason that I didn't want to be in Georgia; last time we left, there was quite a bit of controversy left behind us, but apart from that, CK is feeling much better (he says on bottle of beer no.6)

I'll speak to you later guys!

I think Jerry Seinfeld once explained skiing as "leaning".:D
And this website has some very good summaries, if you like that kind of thing. I love it when Lord of the Rings gets summarised as "midget destroys stolen property" and "Batman" becomes "wealthy man assaults the mentally ill".

Just doing the 6am email to the office (I know I promised you lot that I wouldn't bombard myself with work while I'm away, but just spotted this as going through accounts for something else, and I'm absolutely amazed at this one)

Over 100k views a day, and has earned CK £46078 in t/o and £18431 after artist commission (not worked out the VAT yet, but we're on a 6-fig profit (starting with a 6) already this tax year, and the next VAT bill is going to be HUGE!, plus someone's going to work out %ages etc. we're on now).

All CK is asking himself is how we've done it!

ETA: One of mine the other night at a concert in London dedicated a song to Babushka, after hearing why I'm not about, 5 minutes before she went on stage. My artists are an absolute pleasure!

Packing up to come home :(

Just surveying what we have achieved in a week. Ordered, delivered, installed and running on all the white goods. 2 fully functioning bedrooms and beds in the 3rd. Enough kitchen clutter to get by. Feeling pleased with the flat, though now think I need a holiday to recover.

A pleasant distraction, but goodness knows what it will be like at home. I feel I've been detached out here and too busy to think. Also Mum has been too upset to speak when I've phoned her, so that's not good.

Are any NPs members of GenesReunited? I've got two records I'd like to view, but can't without joining.... and if I joined then there's the chance that the record doesn't tell me anything more, or they turn out to be somebody different by coincidence.

    :)
