I'm still not in a good frame of mind at the moment

I've been ignoring the phone all day, and something that I never say when I'm on holiday (only once a year, plus the occasional weekend) is that I want to go back to work!
I'm tired, I'm stressed, and I really don't want to be looking after someone else's kids at the moment!
8am, CK feels like going back to sleep; not good!

aren't there nicer places to eat in the olympic park? would be awful if there was only mcd's there.
MSE Top tip.
You'll be passing the Westfield shopping centre, you can't avoid it, eat there before the Games. Go to the food hall, not downstairs, I think it's on the third floor? You'll find it easily, anyway. Half the price, twice the food, and half the queue :rotfl: I went there last week, and will be going there again today.0 -

CK, all of what we told silvercar recently applies to your sad situation, which I'm sure was along the lines of you must look after yourself and give yourself the time to grieve. You've been through a lot with not a great deal of warning (not that it would make what you are dealing with better, but you know what I mean), and with the added stress of being asked to make big decisions on someone else's behalf. If you need more sleep - take it, and don't rush back to work. Take the time to take in what has happened.
Look after yourself and your family

PN that island in the harbour looks fascinating- read about it ages ago Maybe it was on the BBC website- can't really recall. Always thought it looks worth a visit!
Long live red quirrels! I'm holidaying in one of the parts of the UK that still has them. They're trying to limit the spread of the greys up here and good luck to them I say! There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I've investigated swimming to the island and it seems that you can do it ... IF ... nobody reports you. If you're reported then the full Coastguard turn out and search for you, track you down and give you a talk about how stupid/dangerous the stunt was and how you could have died because of the ferry/boats/yachts in that bit .... and the unpredictable currents.
Only way to do it is to organise some charity swim and get it all OK'd.... and it looks like there is a charity swim in about 5 weeks.....
Edit: Hold on ... there's one sooner http://openwaterswimming.eu/node/6071
Not promising..... not promising.....
Edit 2: Entry fee £45... bugg4h that - ferry's cheaper!!!!
Looks like they swim round it, not to it.0 -
