Glad you're OK, but sorry the appointment didn't amount to more, lir. Have you cleared up the confusion about the "don't ever have a lumbar puncture" thing? Who can refer you to an endocrinologist, and how quickly can they do that?
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Yes, we have cleared up the confusuion. It can be dangerous to have a lumbar punture with the swollen eyes, but still needs to be done. If the person doing the lumbar puncture knows i have the pappiloedema then the risk is mitigated, and should reduce the issues!

I have made an appt to see GP (go me, huh) on friday morning fiprstly to get some drugs in prep for lumbar puncture and secondly to see if i can get endocrine ball rolling. I know he mentioned he wants me to see a particular endocrinologist who specialises in unusual hormone profiles like mine when thie neurology was sorted out. As things are taking so long i want to try and start the ball rolling now.

I had really cool vampire eyes today, almost no iris at all, dh got a picture of one of them but not sharing because my eyebrow looks awful and my skin looks really dreadful. Both look better in real life i am certain!

I'm being slowly sucked into buying the wrong house....... there's one I've mentioned in the past week as being "OK/sort of".... and now they've just changed agents and knocked £15k off.

Trouble is... I think it's still over-priced... but maybe I'm just a fool.

    Pros:
    - some water views from garden
    - fully/newly refurbished
    - it looks quirky/unusual
    - it's in the right location .... just, by about 400 yards.
    - I've definitely got enough cash for it, just

    Cons:
    - no garage, just allocated 2 parking spaces
    - it's officially a flat, so leasehold
    - its looks might make it a bugg4h to resell in years to come
    - it's got a bizarre roof situation going on that might prove to be troublesome to live with
    - no utility
    - no en-suite

So .... kind of unsure if I'm just having a knee jerk reaction.... or not. I am technically in no hurry to buy a house, but I am in a hurry to have my own place and feel settled and potter about my own little life.

I want to hold out for something better...... tough though.

    I love quirky.

Doozerboy would sort the roof for you or put you in the right direction. If it's a flat one, there's a more long term solution now that looks quite attractive. Just take it into acount when negotiating.

Are you planning to sell it in the future?

Yes. I also had custard doughnuts for breakfast. That was pretty good.

Well, I think we are all a bit concerned about you.

On the plus side, yesterday, my son had a good day. He was paid £13 an hour (+50% for overtime) to sit in an extremely good seat in Centre Court and watch the Ladies' final. He's also complaining that after a time it gets boring watching the beach volleyball so much. On the minus side, he also had to drive 200 miles.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Sigh at it all. Plans changed back to being "our house", which we are properly excited about again and here is part of the first objection:

"The solar panels will cause glare in the direction of the back of our house, they will be unattractive and have only been included as a nod towards being 'environmentally friendly' and 'in vogue'. It will cause the property to look very modern and incongruous with the neighbouring, traditional and well established properties."

They also think it will overlook them when there is not one window facing their house.
Not one window in the 5.5 metre high bungalow built with reclaimed brick and tile. Oh, and solar panels. Solar panels which face due south and the back of their house with their North facing garden being over 20 metres north and east of the very start of our trendy panels, the view of which are also blocked by part of the actual roof and then their own 10m high giant conifers which must surely block and suck more light than anything situated behind them.

And killing cats. We're still killing cats by building.

    Rant over, maybe.

EDIT: I'd quite like to be in Vogue.

That said, today is the closing date for comments and at the moment, there is only one objection. Being down from 23. The LA are rubbish at uploading to the application site, so I'll expect 22 more in the next couple of weeks.

Doozer, what about those pv tiles instead of the panels? I think they are gorgeous. Was it you who linked them? I would have them here if we weren't listed.
