Yes, so sorry to hear that. It's not been a good couple of weeks for the NP.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
Commiserations, CK. It was a wonder you were able to be there for her. Small mercies

Toad in the hole. I can quite imagine eating that in a sandwich but I suspect that would never happen outside of a scooby-doo episodelostinrates wrote: »Dh loves toad in the whole. Me...not so much.

I spend too much time in my local waitrose. My freezer's full of thier whoopsied curries/pies/meals at about £1 or so.
Happy birthday Chewie. 33's not old!
Treat yourself to David Nobbs Reginald Perrin books to read on the train.:)
I've still not, ever ever, been into a Waitrose......we don't have one in the nearest town to the village and the next big town, has only just had one opened but my visits to that town are pretty much restricted to going to the hospital rather than visiting for shopping (I detest shopping there)
Happy belated birthday Chewy
My condolences CK, to you and your family.
Have missed lots of pages here as we are away at the moment. My new found relationship is going well (still not decided what to call him, we joked about saying "My lover" in a Cornish/Devon accent) and he came to visit and stay for a day and overnight one day last week and came up again yesterday for a day trip with his son...his son loved it as he has a thing about caravans.
Mind you, to be called my lover, would certainly imply we are participating in a particular activity and we have found that is certainly not what the doctor ordered with my (and his!) joints....and that was without actually doing anything remotely close to love making! We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

I don't think we have to agree on liking them with chicken - with at least one veggie among us, that's not likely. But can we all agree on liking them with something? (I like them BTW.)Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Yay to the relationship going well. :j
Sorry to hear the joints are being so painful (regardless of what you were trying to do with them

By the way, you need a name change. Can't be SingleSue while you're humping and romping all day & nite!

Yup!
Some years ago you used to be able to buy meals cooked inside giant yorkshire puds - curries, chllies, sausages with onions.:D
Good old toad in the hole.
I remember me & a friend cooked a big toad in the whole, & were making the mash, peas & other veg, & instead of plating up, dumped the potatoes & veg & gravy into the toad in the hole & carried it to the table in the oven dish it was cooked in, & sat & gluttoned out.:o
Saved on the washing up too, so MSE!:DIt's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
