I find that place quite cute. Shame its so far out and not closer to a station.:o

Pn, with your penchant for ice white could you compromise on render?

Also, i was pleasantly surprised taking a five minute glance at the coast. I think you have a grwat chance of finding a very lovely compromise.:)

it's about 5 minutes walk from st margarets station, 30 mins from there to waterloo on the slow train - fast trains don't stop there (might be able to do it a bit quicker if the trains work right for you to go one stop away from london to twickenham and then change onto the fast train into london there). handy for twickenham stadium too.

we are thinking about st margarets at the moment as a bit cheaper that side of the river and some nice quiet backstreets around there. i prefer the slow train to the fast one anyway as you can get a seat.

Re dnr orders imo this is something we should all thing about when well. I know where i stand and it changed as my health got better and is not now what i would want of i can be like i am usually, but seriously, its a loving act to review this ourselves when able. I know my dh would sacrifice everything to take care of a me with no hope or responsiveness but i would not want that for him. Like donor cards, people think they have time and the truth is when its needed or valuable we rarely get warning and those we love are in more need of condideration for that time than we are.

I agree totally, and I've registered. Some people won't like the idea, but in case anyone has simply not got round to it yet, here is the link to register online (takes just over a minute to complete).

Thats fine if its you home imo. If its your closer to work bed , too far and too slow.

Pastures, we all know that you are the no.1 authority on what you want house-wise, but don't slap us down too hard when we have our little game of findahouse. It's obvious that you are doing the research and you know the area, but it's still a bit of fun for the rest of us to have a root round Rightmove.

I discovered my dream home on Rightmove quite a while ago, unfortunately its a little out of my price range:

Proof that Andy Murray is actually British, he's singing the national anthem! Blimey!

I'm going to Barcelona next weekend.

I'll check it out for you.

I'm thinking that an initial offer of EUR 1,000,000 will work

A former work colleague of mine now lives in a Castle that does not look like a castle.
