You can buy me a little place too ..... and retain full ownership, so long as I have just a life interest :) Which I think is fair enough.

In fact i will buy all the old coven one. Bear in mind though, i never play the lottery:D

I'm watching the men's Omnium (cycling) on BBC3. I haven't done any housework in nearly a week and my house is starting to look like a tip. I'm trying to find gaps in my viewing schedule to change the bed, put a washload in put the hoover round but it isn't easy:o.

haven't you got the dedicated olympic channels in HD? that's what i'm watching it on. not a great race for clancy.

    Not quoting....

The problem is the very specific two postcodes I've currently got my eye on .... rest of the criteria could be found....

List would be HUGE.... and then there's all the tiny stuff too. CBA :)

Thats fine if its you home imo. If its your closer to work bed , too far and too slow.

oh yes i agree with that, if you are going to buy a second home to be close to work then your door to door journey should be 30 mins max, and preferably just a 5-10 minute walk. (although in some ways that could be counter productive a if i lived 5 minutes away from work i would spend more time there, having to leave to get the last train home is sometimes pretty useful!).

the only problem with the dedicated BBC channels is that in some sports there are huge gaps in the commentary, but that doesn't seem to be happening in the cycling - prob because it's being broadcast on BBC3 at the same time. some of the swimming was a bit rubbish as there was only commentary when there was actually a race on and no filler.

edit: quotes were working, then they were, and now they're not again.

I'm very sorry to read of your terrible dilemma.

I made a DNR decision when my Dad had a sudden and severe heart attack at 95. The doctor explained that even if he pulled through, he'd be confined to a wheelchair. Knowing his mental state before the event, and his great need for a measure of independence, I didn't find the decision difficult.

Hopefully medical staff will be able to advise like this, and you know your GM, but it's still so very difficult for you.

I am sorry to hear your GM is poorly. As for DNR, what a terrble position for you to be in. If your GM rallies would she be able to make that decision for herself and let you know her wishes?

    Take care
When we were passively aggressively chucked out I was discussing the swimming with a regular, and a couple of the others were already chatting with another. They were pretty appalled that he wouldnt serve us and one of them called him a grumpy twot, so even if his intention was to keep the locals happy it didn't seem to work that well.

I can understand if we were all a bit leery, making loads of noise and acting like t0ssers, but we weren't. In the end it worked out well as we got a silly story to talk about, and ended up in a better pub with a really good atmosphere.

Someone said something about grandkids earlier in the thread. I'm the nearest blood relative in the country at the moment (again, under Georgian law), as the 3 children are in Russia (with an Abkhaz passport, so no Georgian entry), the US and the UK.

No scenario is going to be ideal at the moment, but I still don't feel that I should be the one to make the decision in question.

I've seen her again today, and she seems a lot better than she was, although still very confused. She's through the vital 24 hour stage :T, so anything could happen, and it's looking like being on the up.

Thank you so much guys! Giga saw that I'm a soppy !!!!!! under the business attitude this morning, and it may be for the best that someone does.
