I'm watching the men's Omnium (cycling) on BBC3. I haven't done any housework in nearly a week and my house is starting to look like a tip. I'm trying to find gaps in my viewing schedule to change the bed, put a washload in put the hoover round but it isn't easy:o.

Pastures, something else to think about in your house search. New houses are likely to have a covenant in regarding running a business from home. I've recently had to commission a report on covenants on behalf of my resident's association, so if you do get further down the line, please PM me and I'll see if there's anything relevant I can share.

IT all comes down to priorities and compromises.... and as each house is different you can't say what you'd put up with until you're met with specific instances.

Could you please put your criteria on a piece of paper and rank them out of ten so we know how important they are to you? You have a reasonable budget and I think you've got a good chance of hitting most of them if we can get the area right.

Replies still not quoting. In response to running a business. Those covenanats tend to mean 'business' .... if I were in the shed making half a dozen bits and bobs a week without any deliveries or customers, that's not really a business.

If it got beyond half a dozen bits and bobs I'd probably splash out on renting studio space (which is cheap) elsewhere.
