I tend to go for the cheapest, but this one is on the top floor, so any leaks could be a total disaster. The present one is a Zanussi and has lasted for simply ages.
if the bosch is as loud as our siemens then the flat downstairs will be seeking a noise abatement order if it is a conversion.
we're in a purpose built block with a 1m thick concrete floor between us and the flat below and that seems to stop most of the noise but they could still hear it.0 -

So, I bought a jar of coffee at the 99p store today... and just went into the kitchen to make a coffee (now I am a master of the kettle) ... and noticed oddities... very heavy, solid sterling silver, salt/pepper set - clearly in daily use as it's on the top with salt strewn around it; teaspoons are kept in a half pint mug .... a solid sterling silver mug; tea caddy ... solid sterling silver.
Somebody tell me this isn't usual .... surely not everybody except me's living like this??0 -

She should do, as she's the nicest NP around.
I don't know. Ask PN.
Wheezy, your cheque is in the post! Whilst I can be nice, I'm definitely not the nicest NP. There is too much competition in here
I suspect that chewy's interview was for a much higher powered (and remunerated) post than mine. I'd happily take the payrise though I don't think it would be long before I was found out! Apart from anything I don't look much like Clooney (though we do share a birthday).0 -

Was in Lidl today buying a few odds and ends and realised that it's not worthwhile emptying your basket while you're at the checkout until the very last second so you can run to the next checkout when they open one next to you.
Or else watch everybody well behind you suddently getting served well before you! :mad:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Anyway I read an earlier argument here about the (aborted) prosecution of that 17 -year old for his inappropriate tweet, which I think was pretty much an example of the police trying to look busy by sticking up for a famous person when we'd all struggle to find one when we needed one.
In contrast this was an example of an inappropriate tweet with life-or-death consequences. In France he'd be whisked to court under their good samaritan laws. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
