Ah, yours must be different to most of the ones I've seen; most tills I've seen are singles, not doubles... so to reach the next roller is a full 8-10' stretch :)

Wheezy, your cheque is in the post! Whilst I can be nice, I'm definitely not the nicest NP. There is too much competition in here :)

I suspect that chewy's interview was for a much higher powered (and remunerated) post than mine. I'd happily take the payrise though I don't think it would be long before I was found out! Apart from anything I don't look much like Clooney (though we do share a birthday).

I dunno. If the job was for either nicest person or lovliest eyes i think you might be inwith a good chance. Sadly i doubt chey's prospective job has either of those as required skills.

Olympic travel update. yesterday, sneaked out at 5.30 to avoid the Beach Volleyball change over and it worked, as when I left at just past 6 today the tube was very busy. I didn't see Viva either :(
    I think....

phew! have just had a manically busy week. but I did manage a little in the gym today and just picked everything from garden and allotment before the rain :) Now just need to sort out the kilo of french beans we have. We have no tomatoes but enough beans to feed a small family. The courgettes are coming through but a few at a time. I need more.

And off to pickle some gherkins. And make tomorrow's dinner.

Hi, particularly need help from any professional shoppers. I need to buy a washer-dryer for a rented flat. Longevity and reliability are more important than gizmos. I was thinking of a Zanussi, but should I spend the extra on Bosch?

    Zanussi http://www.johnlewis.com/231204554/Product.aspx
    Bosch http://www.johnlewis.com/231029557/Product.aspx

I am worried that the Bosch has quite a small capacity, so it might be overloaded.

    Any thoughts, please?

We ordered a Bosch once (as they seemd to have a good reputation) Failed on first wash, circuit board went and we demanded and got a refund (and there was no quibble about it 'm happy to say).

Currently using Zanussi washer and Zanussi tumble dryer. No probs. Happy campers now.

When we were in a rented house, there was a combined washer/dryer. Saved a bit of space I suppose but you'd need to find 48 hours in every day to get your laundry done.

A mate used to work in white goods retail reckons there only are a handful of manufacteres anyway as they all merged a while back

Sorry, I am confused and have only just read your other post properly as I mega skimmed this morning before going out. Ooops... Not out to stand up one of the NPs:o. Even when I read it a second time I thought you must be going to BV, so you were working nearby instead. Sorry, sorry, sorry:(.

It was very different to archery. For one thing I think if they cranked up the volume while shooting things a lot of arrows would have been off target. Also, audience members didn't shout "phwoar, look at the **** on that" at archery. Archery also didn't have a conga line or Mexican wave. Nor did archery have a mass cheer of "Wiggo, Wiggo, Wiggo...".

I liked archery though. Beach volleyball was fun. I'd argue its the best Olympics event for people with ADHD, because if you couldn't pay attention to what was going on in the match, there was always some form of other stimulus going on. Constantly. For four hours. The view was also breathtaking.
