Twoozerdog snores. Loudly!
Hope ypu got some sleep in the end. I slept in having a nightmare that dh had left me for a duck while were were at a bee and honey show, and i could not chase qfter him because i was setting someones show entry up for practise. It was all very distressing. I called him this morning to check and he said he thinks he could love a duck. they have nice eyes and a cute waddle.
Any way, man/bee/duck dream also saw me wake up late so had a mad run around tryi g to get client stuff done before they arrived at 7 thirty and then do birds etc then the window man cam to see a picture and the hrdcore man came and would not cold not dump it where nice builders wanted it, (in fact hard core man seemed to have had a stroke and I am not sure he should be driving anything let alone a big lorry) so i have to break the bad news of the long walk with barrows to the nice builders, and my dogs missed their morning walk.
Now i am drinking ayervedic detox tea with the cats while bracing myself to go and tidy the sitting room because [STRIKE]her royal highmess[/STRIKE] my mother is visiting me today.0 -

some table tennis player who is 6ft but weighs less than 9st? what's that about. exactly the same height as me but more than four stone lighter. in order to reduce my weight to 9st i would have to reduce my body fat to 0% and then cut off both of my legs. that the hell is that about. he must be an absolute bean pole. i hope the table tennis ball doesn't hit him at any point; it will knock him flat.
I have a nephew who is 6'6" and 10 stone. Because he is also blond and has spiky hair, he looks like a very long cheese string. In the run up to London 2012, they looked for people genetically like him to enter the selection for rowing and handball, but it was too much like hard work. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

I think we have seen a photo of a cuddle with a little fluffy duckling? Perhaps you should make sure you politely decline any requests for you to set up displays for the time being
Good luck with the Royal visit!0 -
I'm reading if not posting. Holding it together I think.
Now we are going away tomorrow, having delayed twice, we have things we need to do that can't really be delayed any longer.
Those with long memories will remember we bought a holiday home in October 2010 that was supposedly going to be built and ready Spring 2011. In particularly bad timing it is now ready, or should I say it is very nearly ready and has been in that state for a month. Until we turn up and start shouting final things just won't get done.
So we are going there, armed with bedding, towels and air beds - just in case the furniture isn't quite delivered
In the space of a week I will need to think, colour schemes, furniture styles.....
At least the floors are marble tiled and the window blinds are within the double glazing, so no carpets and curtains to worry about.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. James is almost 6ft and weighs less than that...currently just on the 8 stone. No matter how hard he tries, he just cannot put weight on (you are what you eat, my !!!!!) despite having approx 10k calories a day!
He has had every test done under the sun and no-one can explain it apart from saying "Oh, it is probably something to do with his EDS"
It's not that he is super active so burns the calories quicker, once he starts being active, he has to increase his calorie intake even more from the 10k!
Costs a bloody fortune......We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -

This all feels rather unnecessary, but, last niht i had vision loss for the first time in the other eye ( normal one stayed ok).
Its almost always happening at night, so i am wondering if i can minimise presuure on the relevant part of my brain by tryingto sleep sitting up.
Not unnecessary at all. You deserve to have him with you for now. Glad his work are being so reasonable about it - and v glad he is no longer working for sadistic boss. Hoping and praying there are no more incidents between now and your appointment.
Not sure what happened last night - I'm sure I clicked multiquote on that post as I was working through, but realised this morning that it hadn't got included. Perhaps my counting to three went wrong.
Anyway, as you can see from the time stamps, I finished catching up with the NPT at about 2ish this morning. Never mind, I thought, I can catch up with plenty of sleep - it's a luxury to be sleeping alone after the last 7 nights of sharing a room with both kids in various locations.
At 6:15, DD's mobile phone (which was charging in my room) went off with its alarm - she had been monkeying around with the clock and the alarms and setting both to random times.
Shortly after 7am, somebody came into my room, forgetting that I was asleep in there. I did my best impression of not having been woken up by them, and whoever it was went away again.
At 8:20, my bank sent me an automated text message.
At 9:08 workmen started drilling in the road outside and I gave up.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Hard to work out what to do today... when you're not in your own home and you have nothing of yours around you ... you're kind of stuck.
Would do washing except I realised I've no idea what the system is for drying washing here..... maybe there's an airer, that's hidden. Don't like to look and poke about. Also, need a shower.... towel's in my car as I ran out of steam bringing stuff in/up the stairs.... so I could go and get that and have a shower I guess.
Then it'll be lunchtime. I've no food in, kitchen's dinky and no room for me to "go shopping" ... so maybe it'll be a shop sandwich.
Can't even muster enthusiasm for applying for jobs as Word and my CV are on my PC, in storage ... and I'm not getting those for another 4 weeks. And I don't want a call as my clothes are all over the place and crumpled, so it'd be a strain putting together an interview outfit.
When I originally packed up and moved I assumed I'd be renting something that'd turn up ... but it hasn't worked out like that at all, so I've not got my stuff around me.0 -

My wife's Kindle broke while on holiday. Half the screen remained on screen saver, turned out to be a broken screen. Called Amazon support on sunday evening, talked to a knowledgeable person who shipped a new one on Monday, arrived yesterday with all the previous downloads neatly present after registration.
Excellent customer service! :TI'm reading if not posting. Holding it together I think.
Big hugs, silvercar :grouphug:0
