I was wondering how you all became guides. Was MSE around for a while before Martin said "I'll start some fora" and ask for volunteer guides, or were the fora there first? I can't think of another site where the board guides have been so constant. It is a real credit to MSE as well as the the guide team.
missk is one of the reptilian shapeshifters who originally set up MSE - martin lewis is merely a construct they created to distract you from the truth whilst they earn £££ from sponsored links.

i shouldn't think i could snatch lift more than about 30kg and even that is probably pushing it. these midgets are lifting 150kg!

When he was younger, my son had a really very dotty friend who kept Great Danes. Unfortunately, one of then died, so she put the body in the deep freeze (as one does!). She decided that it needed a proper religious burial, so her plan was to dress all in black, break into the local cemetery at dead of night carrying this deep-frozen Great Dane, dig a hole and bury it.
Out of respect, she deep froze the Great Dane with its legs out straight. So, she had the problem of carrying this full size, totally rigid dog through the streets and then having to dig a really, really large hole in the middle of the night. Which is why she tried to involve my son in the project, but even he refused. My impression, though, is that Doozer, PN and LIR wouldn't have been so wimpish. Am I right? No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Are you excited Jonny? Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Hmm, i would have buried the dog in the garden having called a digger driver.
Atm i have all the family pets in their boxes of ashes in a big box. In the dining room. We don't know yet what we plan to do with special girl. I always wanted to keep and mount her skeleton, then thought maybe just a foot from the knee down. Now ots closer i do not know how i will bear it at all. Old girl is going to be pts here then taken for research but my equine podiatrist has asked for all four feet, because she is a miracle and we all want to know why. We buried the gambia here, felt right.
I am only missing two of the complete set of past pets, one was my childhood cat and one my rabbit. My father did something unforgivable with them when he took them out of our freezer. He took them to the tip.0 -

Are you excited Jonny?
Yep. Really looking forward to it.
Then a week tomorrow I've got the mens table tennis team final, and a week Saturday I've got sprint canoeing finals (my hope for seeing a home medal) and the womens bronze handball match.
:T
Loving it.
(Still checking for other tickets occasionally too - but not sure what I want other than the v hard to get eg cycling etc)0 -

I'd have been more pragmatic and had the dog cremated before interring the ashes on holy ground at a much shallower depth!
You don't know what you'll encounter digging a grave for a huge dog in an apparantly free space in a graveyard!
What did she do with the dog in the end? Did she have to prop the legs out with frozen peas to make them straight out?Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

haven't got tickets for anything at the moment. have been looking at what is available thinking that i should really go to something other than the men's road race.
at the moment the only thing i would bother to see which has tickets available is the athletics on monday night, incl mens 400m final. but only £450 tickets available and i really cannot bring myself to pay nearly a grand for two of us to watch a couple of hours of athletics.
i think i may just go to the paralympics instead to get into the park and see all the venues. but the velodrome is sold out for that as well!0 -
