....Actually, come to think of it, it's mainly pies, pasties & booze. :rotfl:
Reading through stuff around the county it seems to be child-focussed. Face painting and kids' stuff. Nothing for adults.
It seems Devon's pies, pasties and booze have got it right!

Parents' approval.... an impossible dream, a myth.

I've done stuff 24/7 for about 400 days, every waking thought/action is drectly related to parents, organising, sorting, researching, doing, delivering, collecting, gathering, arranging, checking, ensuring ..... best interests and best health and best experience. And now it's got to the stage where a sibling can swan in once a month and be greeted with a moan from the old who 'doesn't know where I am and hasn't seen me'.

I've done the most - and am in the most 'trouble'.

    :D

Yeah, but, they also seem pretty annoyed when they don't win my approval either. I think the healthy approach to the thing is to know that my mother will enjoy ticking me off about deadheading and snogger when its true to form, not let it bother me :D

On the plus side i do not have to cook today as all of it is being brought so that dh and i do not havye to stop slogging, (this is tea break) and from the description of cooking thats been going on i might not have to cook again until autumn :rotfl: So, she is trying to win my approval just as much. Personally, i would rather she had come and helped with weeding, but hey ho!

I am really getting anxious about the lawn mower situation now. Its been a while since the grass was cut, and dh tried with the hover yesterday and it looks like dogs have chewed the grass down. Next week i might call the lawn mower repair people....

Not a huge amount going on here really compared to the Golden Jubilee or even the silver one......the event I am going to on Sunday is not a Jubilee event, it is a Macmillan charity thing but the pub thing on Monday is a sort of Jubilee excuse to have a party plus having to move their normal first Sunday in the month music jam forward to the Monday because of the Macmillan charity day.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

There's a street party a few streets away but we might go to one near MIL's as one of DS's friends lives there and they haven't met in a while.

Our street had a fair a week or so back so I'm glad it's somebody else's turn to have their road blocked and their parking spaces taken over!

Missed it. I don't think I was the only one that heard it on the news and went to sticky beak either!

It's windy out there and nothing to photograph (yes, I shamelessly took my camera) .... so I stopped off at the amusements, spent £1 in the shove-a-penny type machines and now am at home with a coffee.

I never get that. In every day, in every way, for every thing, it's all down to me. Which is why I often just eat toast, sandwiches or a pasty.

Both round this way. There's always bodies being found. At least one a year, if not 2-3.
